Avoid at all costs - poorly run building
The property itself looks nice, but my move-in has been one issue after another. On day one, the air conditioning wasn't working. Since then, I've dealt with a leaking dishwasher, a shower that wouldn't drain properly, a broken shower diverter, and a mailbox that had been taped shut from the inside with "VACANT" written on it.
There were also administrative issues. I was told parking was available before I signed my lease, but after moving in I was informed that both garages were full. I was... also charged for not having renter's insurance even though I provided proof of coverage before move-in, and getting responses from the leasing office has been frustratingly slow.
The biggest problem has been the air conditioning. After multiple service visits, management informed me that the HVAC equipment serving my apartment needs to be completely replaced and that the repair is expected to take approximately three weeks. Portable air conditioners have been provided, but the apartment has still been uncomfortably warm.
I understand that things break and maintenance issues can happen in any building. What has been disappointing is the sheer number of problems in such a short period of time and the lack of proactive communication throughout the process. This has been far from the move-in experience I expected.
I hope management improves both the quality of the apartments being turned over to new residents and the responsiveness when issues arise. As it stands today, I would not choose to lease here again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are very sorry to hear that your first few weeks at 1111 Light Street did not reflect the level of service we strive to provide.
We understand how frustrating it is to experience multiple... maintenance issues so soon after moving in, especially when they are compounded by communication delays. While we're glad the HVAC issue has since been resolved, we recognize that the repeated air conditioning concerns, the parking situation, the renter's insurance billing concern, and the difficulty you've had reaching our team understandably created a disappointing first impression.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Our team would like the opportunity to review any remaining outstanding items, including the renter's insurance charge, and discuss how we can improve your experience moving forward. Please contact us directly at 1111lightstreetmanagers@wpmllc.com or (410) 962-1111 at your earliest convenience. We value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to rebuild your confidence in our team.
