Nice apartment, terrible management
I lived on the 18th floor for the past year, and I have to say that I really liked the apartment itself. The unit was comfortable, the floor was quiet, and the overall quality of the building was very good. Those are the positives.
Unfortunately, my experience with building management and some operational issues left a lot to be desired.
The biggest frustration was the lack of responsiveness from management. I reached out multiple times regarding residents parking in the EV charging spaces... without charging and leaving their vehicles there for days at a time. I never received a response — not once. A simple acknowledgment or follow-up would have gone a long way.
It was also disappointing how difficult it was to find anyone from building management outside of typical business hours. It is rare to see staff before 10:00 AM or after 5:00 PM. That may not seem like a major issue until you need assistance with something practical — such as arranging a delivery, coordinating dry cleaning, or using a reserved elevator. On my move-out day, I had a 9:00 AM elevator reservation and there was no one available to provide access until about 10:15am. My movers had been there for more than an hour.
I also attempted to return my keys on three separate occasions — once around 10:00 AM and twice around 5:00 PM — and no one was available. I eventually had to leave them with a building engineer. That is not the level of service I would expect from a building at this price point.
The key access system is another area that needs improvement. It is unreliable, and there appears to be no clear after-hours solution if a resident is locked out. Fortunately, this never happened to me, but the possibility of being locked out at night with no staff available is a serious concern.
I hesitate to write this review because I genuinely enjoyed living in the apartment. The building itself is high quality, and my unit was excellent. The problem is that residents are paying rates comparable to a full-service luxury building, but the level of service and management support does not match that expectation.
With better responsiveness, more consistent staffing, and improved resident support, this could be an outstanding place to live.
