Tenants Beware - Good location and that's about it

1-star review for this property. The location itself is decent, located next to the Branch Avenue Green Line metro, walking distance to a small plaza with lots of great food options, and within 5 minutes of I-495. These are all the positives.

Unfortunately, the list of negatives far outweighs the positives. Overall, the experience at the property has left me with the impression that management doesn’t care about the property's condition or its residents. It’s nearly impossible to contact the...
leasing office by phone.

I have had an issue with the tenants in the unit directly above mine making too much noise since 1 Sep '25, which has yet to be resolved despite several emails to property staff and repeated calls to the on-call responsible for enforcing after-hours complaints. The noise has significantly impacted the quality of my stay at Allure; note for the review that I didn’t have any noise issues with the previous tenants.

A careless driver careless driver damaged one of the garage gates shortly after I moved in and went unrepaired for several months, limiting the entire 6-level garage to a single exit. Maintenance confessed that management was not providing the resources needed to repair one of the exterior doors, leaving that door vulnerable and, more importantly, unsecured. On another occasion, it took the staff over two weeks to repair or replace a broken appliance. The staff also ignored direction not to enter the unit unless I was home, AMD LEFT THE DOOR UNLOCKED after they left. Trash routinely overflows in the trash rooms, which has led to foul smells and the presence of mice.

The building’s alarm system has serious issues; between pipes not being winterized and false triggers, the alarm system went off at least 7 times between 17 December 2025 and 11 February 2026. The alarm usually trips at the most disruptive times – being woken up at 12:51 am, 3:53 am, and 5:00 am, as examples. Management notified residents of the alarm status by email only 2 out of the 7 times I noted, and only because those alarms occurred during office hours.

All this to say, the units themselves look great, but the state of the building’s maintenance processes, the subpar communications from the leasing office, and the lack of responsiveness to basic issues should dissuade any potential renters from this property. The property recently transferred ownership so things may improve under the new company, but you should just look elsewhere and save yourself the trouble.

Management very uncaring,don’t get sick or have a tragedy in life because they will not care , matter of fact they will make your life harder .. I’m very disappointed, very much !!

The reviews are true

Some may be reading these reviews and find it somewhat suspicious that these reviews are all positive, I would’ve thought the same thing if I was on the hunt for an apartment. I’m here to tell you these reviews are the truth. I have lived in these apartments for over a year now. I recently renewed my lease which I wasn’t planning on doing prior to the management change. The management changed in April 2021 and they go above and beyond in solving issues. Personally I had one issue, however I... didn’t inform the old management because I saw how they treated my friends who had bigger issues. The new management arrived and I did report the issue and it was solved. Here are some pros and cons of living here:

Pros:
-Amazing staff, interactive with residents. They even had resident’s week which involved having food trucks where you could purchase food for a discounted price, Amazon gift card rewards, etc. They are also quick at solving problems whether it be a noise complaint or a maintenance issue.
-Neighborhood is tucked away from the surrounding areas
- Modern appliances and aesthetic
-The apartments are spacious
- 30 mins from DC
-20 mins from Alexandria
- Military friendly. If you are in the military, 10 mins away from JBA
-30 mins away from Silver Spring/College park area without traffic, with traffic approximately 40 mins
- Restaurants such as Via Roma is literally a 3 min drive
- Great neighborhood for those who like to cycle/run
- The metro station is next door
- The apartment is safe for your car. One night I accidentally left my driver side window down and thankfully nothing was stolen.

Cons
- Surrounding area is not the best
- Walls are thin, if you have a noisy neighbor, that might be a problem
- If you don’t like hearing the train and your apartment is facing the train station, you probably wouldn’t like that. Personally I love hearing the train as it reminds me of NY
- The drivers tend to speed around corners in garage, so you have to be careful when turning corners. They do have mirrors, but it’s best to drive slowly around the corners.

Awesome Staff & Home!

I recently moved to the Allure Apollo in May 2021. The staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. The addition of the Concierge completed the puzzle. They go out of there way to make sure that you fill right at home.
The common areas of the Apollo are well maintained and modern. My unit is spacious and comfy with the mixture of carpet and wood. The appliances are modern, and I absolutely love the spacious granite countertop.
This facility is filled with hidden gems....courtyards, Zen area,...
resort style pool, doggy park, etc.
