The Apartments at Canterbury

ive been living in this apartment and cant wait for my contract to be over to leave the place. bad managements and staff. takes them ages to fix your maintainance issue. they buildings are in bad shape bad vents and heating system. laundry is very expensive and everything is still manual in the 2026. for your peace of mind i give the place a 1 out of 10

This apartment complex is disgusting and stupid. For starters, there’s mice everywhere, bats everywhere, rats everywhere. Just gross. They raise rent by over $100 every year, yet can’t even fix your front door in a timely manner. One time there was a BAT inside my apartment that came from under the stove and management told me it was my responsibility to remove it, and chose to remind me that it’s illegal to kill a bat in Maryland. Such a great help. The appliances fall apart, maintenance comes... just to tell you it might need to be replaced soon. Do you think they replaced anything? Nope. No service. They make getting your pool pass or putting money on a laundry card a 50 step process when literally EVERYTHING is digital now. So good luck washing your clothes if you don’t carry cash all the time. Oh and there’s a limit on how much cash you can put on the laundry card at once. They send emails saying kids can’t play, there’s signs saying no balls. But the playgrounds are built for….who knows because it’s not little kids I’ll tell you that!

Today i had the pleasure of meeting with Dana to set up my new payment portal. She helped me tremendously. I have had a great experience living here at canterbury.

I’ve lived here for a year. The apartments are nothing special. They take forever for maintenance. A lot of the appliance are broke when you move in…the front door locks are broke and many of time i wasn’t able to leave out because we were locked from the inside. Call many times and no one came
To fix the problem. A neighbor had to jump off his porch or climb through the window. That’s a safety hazard. The washer are broke and not working. I feel like these apartments are over priced. The gym... needs update those machines are trash. They claim they do t receive payments from their online portal. They dont respond to emails They make you sign a lease in January so you can be stuck in a trap. Just find somewhere else because you’ll save yourself a headache. The leasing office is a joke. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Every 5 star review you see is a fake. This is by far the WORST place i have ever lived in. THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH MICE.. I found an extremely lazy low effort attempt to address the issue by them using cheap foam to seal a huge space between the wall, behind the oven. Of course, the mice chewed through it, they did not clean behind the oven, it is disgustingly filthy. There are now mice droppings under my fridge, inside the bottom of the fridge, in my closets, behind my... furniture etc. There are gaps where they simply stuffed cotton balls, yes, cotton balls to fill the space. I called multiple times over a week to the leasing office with nobody picking up. I had to walk in to address the issues and they showed absolutely no concern or had any apology for the situation, like it was a routine situation, and tells me they'll have an exterminator come out in 2 days. I've lived in rural locations w/ a higher chance of field mice, and have NEVER had and issues like this. The grounds are full of trash and dog crap, the laundry area is filthy, washers a broken and have stagnant sitting water, the dog waste bins haven't been emptied in over a month, the walls are thin, there are no exterior cameras. I'm pretty sure they don't actually even clean the place and instead just paint over it. There is paint melting on the walls of the tub. I've been here barely a month a someone has already broke my car mirror. The neighboring tenants are inconsiderate and blast their music as if they're in a single-family home, and the place consistently smells like weed. They knowingly lease this place out with all of these issues and act like everything is sweet. Not even 2 months in and I'm counting down the days til this lease is up. Horrible experience.
