Townsend Apartments

I moved to Michigan for a job and had a difficult time finding an apartment that was nice but also dog-friendly. Townsend on the Park did not initially make my list because the online photos mostly show the carports, which I was not familiar with since I came from the south. I'm very glad a colleague recommended I look at this complex, because it was by far the nicest place I looked at around Lansing that was still in my price range. I love that the units have individual private entrances. It... also has a really nice grassy area (the "park") in the middle with a 1/2 mile path great for walking dogs. My unit has a washer/dryer included which was important to me. I have had positive interactions with my neighbors, and the management is generally responsive to any complaints. Maintenance has been taken care of quickly, and the gentleman is comfortable with dogs so I have not had to crate or confine my dog when he comes while I'm at work. Very friendly staff and maintenance is timely when needed. For an apartment, the rent is somewhat high but, your money goes towards the calm ambiance. Its not loud at all, very peaceful. You could literally leave your door unlocked all day and be fine. Nothing at all happens in this neighborhood. Everyone minds their own business. No neighborhood "gossip", very friendly.
