Southgate Apartments & Townhomes

Recently sold our house we were instrested in a apartment. Chiquita the leasing consultant was very professional and welcoming. The place itself was just what we were looking for.

I haven’t been here long less than 2 months and I’m already in the process of terminating my lease.
This place has bugs everywhere, I’ve put in for a service request weeks ago no one has bothered to fulfill the request.
The other tenants here steal pretty much everywhere and anything they can get their hands on. So please do not order DoorDash, instacart or from Amazon because your things will get taken.
there are no sense of cameras within the building so there’s no security.

The other… tenants here are odd and believe that they can come directly into your apartment without your knowledge.

As well as the stinching smell of cigarette smoke, loud neighbors yelling and fighting in the hallways.

The elevator itself is not safe, it’s broken down quite a few times within the 1-2 months that i have been here.

Let me start by explaining why I have live in 3 different properties at Village Green of Southgate. It's safe to raise a family or to live as a single, affordable and they have the friendliest professional staff including management that I have interacted with. My reasons for moving 3 times were for upgrading or more space. I started with a one bedroom maybe 600 ft apartment with all utilities included. Two years later, I realized that I need more space and wanted to stop paying for storage up… the street. So, I move into a spacious one bedroom with maybe double the footage a couple buildings over. Paying some utilities with a clean laundry room located on site without leaving out of the building. Well, I am a shopaholic as they know because they will sign for deliveries not having the risk of it being stolen. Once again, I realized that I needed more space to accommodate my habits Lol. So, I recently moved into a townhouse. I absolutely love my 3 level house with all appliances included yes washer and dryer too.

Although I am no longer in one of their apartments. I still have access to all of the wonderful amenities here such as community room or as I call it. An over sized cozy loving room with a huge updated flat screen TV, comfortable beautiful furniture, pool table and computer station. There is a community hall that can be rented out. I still use the fitness center with a dry sauna and whirlpool that only the residence have the pleasure of using because it is lock and you must have a key to gain entrance as a safety feature once the staff or leasing office has closed. Not to mention the gorgeous clean outdoor pool area with a newly granite top BBQ grill that we can use. With plenty of sitting furniture as well.

Finally, Village Green of Southgate has made me feel that I am apart of the family. I haven't had an issues and very small maintenance concerns that were handled in a timely manner. I also love that they do give back to the residence via different incentives for paying your rent on time, giving different holiday functions for kids and or adults. Free movie night in the cozy over sized living room with food, drinks or snacks. I love, love living and being apart of Village Green Apartments of Southgate Community. The staff are friendly and understanding. Maintenance are timely and convenient. The apartments are really nice with spacious closet/linen areas. Neighborhood is quiet. And they are pet friendly. I love my new home.
