Poor, Unprofessional Property Management Issues

Apartments are very nice. Problems with property management include: don't return calls or emails. Monthly rent & other charges are different than when you sign the lease. We pay electric, which is fine but they charge for gas and the apartments don't use gas. Random charges w/out notice and apply late charges randomly after paying on time. Stained carpets in hallways that includes dog & cat urine. Building not kept up as it should be.

Nasty

We were taken over about a month ago by a new company. It hasn't been the best. I really miss the old management we had but I've lived with it. I left a week ago on a trip. I got home today. It is so disgusting, nasty, dirty smells like dog, garbage and urine in the
hallways. I just can't believe it. This is just disgusting. Some of the tenants told me no management, nor cleaning crew has been here since I left. Their maintenance, man Jeff is really, really nice. I've met nobody else. No one… is ever in that office. I never see cleaning staff. This is just out of control went from a beautiful clean wonderful building to this. And when they say it's a smoke , free building that is a lie....

DO NOT APPLY

2 weeks ago I applied and got told I make too much for an apartment. The next day I got $1200 taken out of my account for a down payment on the apartment I applied for. I got told I will receive a check in the mail. It's been 2 weeks and I still haven't gotten my money back. Corporate office won't help me I just get transferred to the apartment complex. WHICH btw they have temporary office hours of ONLY Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Expectations Exceeded

I have called Depot on Main home for 7+ months and it has far exceeded my expectations of what apartment life would be like! All of the staff take great care of the facilities and the residents that call this home. Our landlord is always friendly and willing to help however she can to make Depot on Main feel like home to all of her residents; you will not be an apartment number here you will be a member of a beautiful community. Our landlord is easy to get a hold of and she always addresses… questions and concerns in a fast and efficient matter.

The apartments are bright & spacious with beautiful granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, large windows, and full-sized washer/dryer. There are so many lovely amenities at Depot on Main including community room for group/family gatherings, spacious patio, heated underground parking, package lockers, state of the art exercise room, and beautiful lounges throughout. The apartments are so quiet that you forget that you have neighbors, and the grounds and common areas are always immaculately maintained.
