Beware of new management
I would strongly caution anyone considering living at Chesterfield Place, especially under the current property management.
During my lease, I consistently paid my rent on time and regularly checked my resident portal to ensure my account was current. Despite this, I recently received a notice claiming I had a delinquent balance of $16.50 and that I needed to pay it immediately to avoid “negative rental history.” This came completely out of nowhere and is a perfect example of the kind of... ambiguous and frustrating communication residents have to deal with here.
Since the new property management company took over, the experience has gone downhill. Communication is often slow or nonexistent, questions about charges are not clearly explained, and the overall tone from management has been unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of transparency and responsiveness, it feels like residents are left guessing about fees and account changes.
The amount itself isn’t the issue — it’s the principle. Sending threatening delinquency notices over a small, unexplained charge reflects poorly on how residents are treated.
Between the lack of responsiveness, unclear billing practices, and overall poor management experience, I would not recommend Chesterfield Place to anyone looking for a professionally managed apartment community.
