Clyde Manor

Everyone spoke very highly of this facility so I wanted to schedule a tour to see for myself. The property manager was nothing less than rude and uninterested in my request. After playing phone tag for several days and exchanging numerous text messages Nathan decided to overbook my appointment and wait until an hour before to let me know. I have had several friends who lived at this property but after this encounter it has left a sour taste in my mouth. Please do better.

I want to give them more stars, because they are nice apartments - and extremely affordable. However, I feel like they were not upfront about some of the quirks that come along with this being an old building. My windows HOWL when it is windy, the closest thing I can compare it to is a train horn. It’s incredibly jarring and you don’t have much control over it outside of opening the window - which isn’t always conducive. Especially on a rainy, or cold day. I spoke to the staff about it and they... assured me no one else had complained about it (yeah right. I can hear my neighbors’ windows too). Clyde Manor, owned by Mac Properties LLC is one of several apartments on Armour Blvd.
The apartments are a bit spendy but tenants have access to a pool, a small gym, and friendly/prompt maintenance .

I was lucky enough to get one of the corner apartments (a single bedroom with just under 500sqft) and it has been the perfect place for me (a college student).
It is relatively quiet at night but still close to Westport, the Plaza, UMKC, and downtown.
Utilities are not included, so it can be... pricey, but it is the perfect place for young professionals. (And dog lovers, I swear all my neighbors have a dog.) Read More
