Complete Negligence -- Water Leak Ignored for Weeks, Stuck With $400+ Bills
I normally don't leave reviews, but this situation needs to be shared. Over the past two months, my brother and I were suddenly charged over $400 each for water and sewer, when our normal bill is only $15-$20. We immediately tried to figure out what was going on, but the apartment office was impossible to reach. No responses to calls, emails, the community app, or even in person visits. It was like nobody worked there.
We were told once to call the water company, but the water company explained... they don't bill individual units at all and told us to go back to the apartment. So we were stuck in a loop with no answers.
Maintenance finally came into our unit by chance, and even they couldn't figure out the cause at first. After inspecting the bathroom and toilet, they replaced a broken flapper. But that turned out not to be the real issue. When they returned a couple weeks later, they discovered the actual problem which was a water leak inside our apartment that had been going on for who knows how long.
This leak explains the extreme water usage. It's not something tenants could ever detect without tearing the unit apart. And if the office had responded to any of our attempts to contact them, this leak could have been caught immediately instead of running for weeks and costing us hundreds of dollars.
We paid the first high bill in good faith because we didn't know the cause. But after learning the real reason and the fact that the office ignored this issue for an entire month, it's clear this was a maintenance failure and complete lack of communication on management's part.
If you're considering moving here, understand that if something serious happens, you may be totally on your own. Zero communication, zero urgency, and no accountability. Easily one of the most unresponsive and unprofessional management teams I've dealt with.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. I want to apologize for the frustration this situation caused. I do want to clarify that this issue was escalated to our third-party utility billing company, and we have been working closely with them to determine... why your usage appeared so high. I’m also sorry we kept missing each other, I have reached out multiple times by phone and left voicemails in an effort to connect. The water overage amount has been credited back to your account. If you’d like to discuss anything further, please give me a call at 816.205.8156 or you can always stop by the Leasing Office.
