Centric Gateway

The on-site team has been very professional (Endyia, Rahel, Jo, Nichole), and I love my apartment view. I moved from NY and being so close to the city reminds me of home. I have renewed twice and looking forward to renewing again.

I have lived at Centric Gateway for 1 year. Elijah is great! Other than that, it is bare minimum uptown living is what I will say, when compared to other apartments. The office is great, even thought the AM never responds when I email questions now. I am looking forward to moving out in the next months as I have not fully enjoyed my time here.

Cleanliness - This complex is old, so keep that in mind. A couple months after moving in, I did a deep clean. I pulled out the fridge, stove and laundry... and what I found was disgusting. I took photos but cannot find them, but if I do I will post. Behind the fridge the walls were were fully black with thick layers of dust. Behind the stove there was all sorts of crumbs. Behind the laundry there were large amounts of hair, dust and residue. When deep cleaning my prior apt, I never found this dirtiness, especially when I am paying $1500. It should not be my job to write on a paper that things need to be cleaned, that is your job for a paying customer.

Cleanliness - Take a look at the trash chute (photo) and the dirty grill. I made it a goal never to touch that nasty floor.

Allergies/Air Quality - Third, I want to add on to the recent review I have read about allergies that was posted 3 weeks ago. I agree. Ever since I moved into these apartments, I have been breaking out into hives with severe itchiness. Not sure if it's something in this air. Only posting because I saw a complaint on Google Reviews about this.

Package Delivery and Fetch (HORRIBLE) - If you have Amazon Prime, say goodbye to getting things fast. Since you cannot deliver to your address, you need to send it to some random Fetch address. If you put your apt address, UPS will usually return back to their warehouse and it will be a nightmare to get it delivered again and FedEx just leaves it by the mail room and gets stolen half the time. I hated Fetch.

Sad Gym - Gym is minimal, not good for weight training. No barbell rack, stairmaster, target weight machines, minimal dumbbell weights. There is only some dumbbells and a cable pulley machine. Look at our neighbors gyms, Gateway West or the Kensington. Those are way better gyms. I just pay for Crunch now.

Parking - Visitor parking is horrible. There is only 4 visitor parking spots in the garage which are always taken. There is paid city street parking, but the max you can park there is 2 hours. So if someone is staying overnight or 2+ hours, they will most likely get a $25 ticket. Read More

I recently moved to Charlotte and being new here I am on a budget so the first thing I was looking for was affordability. Centric checked that box as one of the most affordable I toured in uptown. Secondly I hate driving so being in uptown and having the ability to walk places was big, centric checked that box. There are restaurants, bars, sporting venues, and really whatever you are looking for in the city. This place is phenomenal. The apartments are modern and amenities are fresh. Feels very clean. To top it off, the whole office staff was incredibly welcoming! Jo showed me around and was great, but really everyone made an impact for sure! Definitely would recommend! 10/10

Leasing staff is awesome. Called to inquiry about an apartment and leasing agent Elijah was very helpful and informative.
