With the exception of the office manager, the staff are unprofessional and incompetent. GreyStar removed the security gates at all entrances, so there is zero security now and the traffic through the community has increased making it noisy and loud. They began a renovation project in all the buildings, but because no one supervised it, half way through, the project was stopped because the wrong flooring was installed, so most of the buildings remain only half renovated. Sometimes the building... doors break meaning they no longer lock, leaving the buildings unsecured and it can take weeks before they are fixed. Finally, the construction is such that there is no sound proofing, so everyone complains about hearing their neighbors above and below them.

Regarding the removal of the gates, we want to clarify that this decision... was based on updated city requirements and code enforcement regulations. We did everything we could to keep them in place, but ultimately we were required to remove them to remain in compliance. We know this change has been frustrating but we hope the installation of five additional speedbumps throughout the community has helped decrease some of this traffic and noise. We also appreciate your comments about the hallway renovation project. The work has been fully overseen by our construction team from the start; however, once the originally planned flooring was installed, it became clear that due to the type of subfloor and the layout of the hallways, that flooring would not perform as intended. To ensure durability and long-term quality, we made the decision to switch to a more suitable flooring product. Paint and lighting upgrades have already been completed throughout the community, and the new flooring has been fully installed in several buildings, with the remaining buildings scheduled once the materials arrive. For building entry doors, we understand how important controlled access is and while we work closely with our vendors to complete repairs as quickly as possible, we are reviewing response times to ensure improvements are made where needed. Noise concerns can vary depending on building structure and location, and we encourage any resident experiencing ongoing disruptions to reach out to the courtesy officer and the on-site team so we can help identify possible solutions. We truly value your feedback, as it helps us make meaningful improvements for our residents. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts—we’re here to help in any way we can.

I have had a great experience since moving into the Sawyer! They are professional, consistent in communications and always kind. We did have a few hiccups setting up our move in, and have still have issues logging into our portals and setting up the associated software's (ButterflyFX, etc) but they are receptive to helping! I want to give this community a higher rating but unfortunately it is not like it used to be. I’ve lived here for 2 years now and it has gone down hill quick. With the gates being removed, having to dodge dog poop everywhere you walk, and “renovations” taking months over the estimated time frame (still not done/ haven't started in some buildings). I have to give this complex only 3 stars, especially with rent prices going up to as high as they are. I do however have to brag about the maintenance... crew, they are always on top of whatever request you may have and are incredibly friendly! I was so hopeful going into my second year living here that it would be the same as the first because last year Sawyer would get 5 stars across the board, now, a generous 3.

In our... recent resident communication about the status of the project, we were happy to report that the new paint and lighting have already been finished throughout the community! Regarding the gates, we understand how important they were to many residents. We did everything within our power to keep them; however, due to the city’s requirements and code enforcement regulations, we were required to remove them. A very well kept property, apartments are very spacious have modern kitchen.
Common area and amenities are also built with a taste!
Management is amazing, very responsive to all requests.
They even have small farm for fruit picking for the community.

I've been living at The Sawyer since October 2023 and can honestly say, it's my most favorite apartment community I've ever lived in. My apartment is gorgeous, the property/landscaping is meticulously cared for, the amenities are great, office and maintenance team are friendly/helpful and you can't hear the location!
