Renters Beware – Think Twice Before Renting at Bexley
Our experience with Bexley has been extremely disappointing. We specifically chose a month-to-month lease because we knew our move-out date would be uncertain, and we made that very clear from the beginning.
When my husband went to the office to provide our vacate date, we were told everything was fine. Later, when I called to confirm, I was informed that the notice was not in their system and that I needed to send an email. I immediately... did so, and they confirmed our move-out date via email without mentioning any issue or any 60-day notice requirement.
A month later, they suddenly sent us a bill for $488 and kept our security deposit, claiming we failed to provide proper notice. If there was truly an issue, why wasn’t it mentioned when they confirmed our move-out date?
The communication was inconsistent, and the way this was handled feels unfair and misleading. Renters should be aware and make sure to get absolutely everything in writing when dealing with this property.
Very disappointing experience.
