Poor management and unsafe property
I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone unless significant changes are made, starting with management and the overall upkeep of the property. Of the three apartment complexes we’ve lived in, this was by far the absolute WORST experience.
1. Cleanliness: This is one of the most concerning aspects. Residents routinely leave valet trash cans in the hallways, creating a cluttered and unappealing environment. The lobby trash frequently overflows, attracting gnats and flies.
2.... Safety: The front security gate is frequently broken and remains open 24/7 for weeks to months at a time, defeating the purpose of a gated community. It was open every day for the last ~4 months of our lease, and maintenance even used bungee cords to keep it open. Most street lights are also burned out, leaving the property poorly lit. Our car was broken into during our time here. The leasing office acknowledged multiple break-ins and believed people were accessing the property by hopping a fence, yet offered no plan to address the issue and never notified residents to take precautions. Nearly six months later, these issues remain unresolved. Rather than prioritizing resident safety by repairing the gate, replacing street lights, or addressing break-ins, management appears more focused on installing “self-checkout markets.”
3. Management: Communication is inconsistent, often ignored, and sometimes rude. Concerns regarding cleanliness and security were emailed to management and never acknowledged or addressed. “Mandatory maintenance” notices were often delivered after 5 PM for work the following morning, leaving little time to make arrangements for pets. Requests for additional notice also received no response.
4. Maintenance: Maintenance is very slow to respond. Our washing machine stopped mid-cycle and would not drain. Although a request was submitted immediately, it went unaddressed for more than 48 hours. Replacement took approximately two weeks after multiple failed temporary fixes, requiring us to use a washing machine two floors away. Landscaping is overgrown, common areas need repainting, and many street lights remain out. Overall, management appears reactive rather than proactive, and resident concerns are simply not a priority.
We wanted to provide these examples to hopefully prevent someone else from having a similar experience. There are better options in the area that will undoubtedly provide a significantly better overall living experience.
