Melvin Place

I lived in Melvin place apartments for several years the apartments need to be condemned immediately! I moved because my unit was infested with large water bugs I killed about 10 to 15 a day my 4 year old daughter was not able attend school regularly because all of the mold water bugs and led paint and triggered her asthma. Works orders took weeks if not months to complete and the stove and range in the unit has an awful smell of dead rats no matter how much I cleaned my house and appliances... they provided nothing ever improved i complained and put in work orders weekly the only thing management would say is everyone has water bugs and would tell me I wouldn’t find a better way of living if I left housing smh .... well I did! I put in my 30 day notice and left I wouldn’t recommend this nasty place to no one not even the homeless and Cumberland county needs new management for public housing to insure funding is used properly to help better the lives of the residents that need it and not be so careless and dismissive because everyone isn’t within the same pay bracket Read More
