Overall I love my actual apartment and the amenities on property, however, I have had an ongoing issue of excessive noise (music, mostly), coming from my neighbor since I moved in. The front office is aware of it and has sent them neighbor noise violations, but it continues at all hours of the night, multiple nights a week. I have been advised to call the after hours security when this happens, which sometimes works, but other times the calls go straight to a voicemail that I’m not sure anyone… checks. Having your sleep affected regularly doesn’t make any place worth staying, no matter how nice. At this rate, I’m looking for other apartments and plan on addressing an early lease termination with the office since they aren’t requiring my neighbor to uphold the noise section of the lease.

DON’T RENT UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR PACKAGES STOLEN

The delivery system at this apartment is the worst I’ve ever witnessed in any apartment ever. Packages are just thrown on the floor in a shared mailing room where any resident has access. There are no individual mailing boxes, no cameras, and no verification system. Over my time here, I’ve had thousands of dollars worth of packages stolen or torn into. I’ve talked to multiple other residents who frequently experience the same issue. Property Management knows and does not care, they literally… told me I’d just have to deal with it or I could send it to another address of a friend’s place or a PO Box because they won’t address it anytime soon.

The Amazon locker is often full because other residents don’t pick up their packages, so there is no other place for the delivery drivers to leave them except on the floor.

This alone has completely ruined my experience here and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We do hate to hear how frustrating the package system has been, especially when it comes to receiving important deliveries. We have shared your feedback with the appropriate team, so they are aware of the issues being reported with the current mail… setup. While we can't speak to any specific changes at this time, please know that resident feedback like yours is taken seriously and plays an important role in evaluating potential improvements.

In the meantime, if it's an option for you, using secure delivery features offered by carriers may help reduce the chance of packages being misplaced or taken. We do also recommend personally sending complaints to the delivery companies. These complaints will assist the delivery company by providing better training to their delivery drivers to prevent situations like this in the future.

I first toured The Devon in April of 2025 when I was living out of state and knew once I moved back to Raleigh, this would be the apartment. After touring 10 other communities, I still came back to The Devon after over a year. The location can’t be beat, and the amenities for the price are incredible.

Just wanted to say we’ve been loving our new apartment so far. The amenities are amazing, everything has been super clean and well maintained, and honestly every person we’ve encountered here has been incredibly friendly and welcoming. Moving can be stressful, so it’s been really nice feeling comfortable and at home already. Super excited to be here!
