Do not rent at The Earl Apartments: Bad faith management, unfair charges, and unsanitary conditions
?The staff and management at The Earl Apartments are the absolute worst. They charge administrative or hidden fees to your rent without any prior notice, even though they have all your contact information on file. When we decided to ask for explanations and demand our money back, the manager, acting without any scruples, chose to retaliate against us until our very last day.
To make matters worse,… they mailed our security deposit check to our old address, sending it to a mailbox we no longer have access to. They did this despite the fact that we went to the leasing office in person on two separate occasions to ask about that money. The worst part is that we were NEVER notified that it had been sent, even though they have both our emails and phone numbers. The manager acts entirely in bad faith.
?Furthermore, I should have reported them from the very beginning because the building has severe maintenance and health issues. There is a massive infestation of insects and roaches living inside the walls, and management has taken no proper action to resolve it. There are also serious moisture issues; mold constantly grows in the bathrooms because they lack exhaust fans. During my time there, I had to buy highly toxic chemicals just to scrub down the bathroom walls and ceiling, as the mold kept returning no matter how much I cleaned.
?I strongly advise everyone to never rent here. You will face health issues due to the roaches and mold, and you will have issues with your money due to the office manager's deceptive and hostile behavior. Read More
