Poorly Managed, Unsafe, No security
I had two different cars stolen from the parking lot. Reported to management. Building lock often broken and propped open for anyone to enter. Building constantly smelled like weed and cigarettes. Management would send a threatening email, but nothing would change. Retained my security deposit to replace old carpet. Couldn’t get a hold of anyone to do a move out walk through for three days. Charged me extra rent because of that. Sits on nice looking property, but is poorly managed and unsafe.

I love my apartment but it was not clean when I moved in, CIP sold the property to Burlington Capital a month after we moved in which has turned out to be awful, we have been battling off an on with bugs in the apartment due to a neighbor who has a hoarding issue, the office no longer accepts packages so you have to go to the post office to pick up packages, our door to our building does not lock so we are paying extra for security that does not exist, the ladies that work in the office... disappear all the time during their shift so it is really hard to actually speak to a real person about any issues and even if they are there, they are extremely rude and not very knowledgeable about how to run an apartment complex. There are a lot of parking issues including lack of space and the parking lot fills up with water which is very dangerous when icy. I will be moving the second my lease is up. Maintenance has fixed the AC multiple times but it continues to have leaking issues. Anytime they "fix" something it is really temporary. I love my building and my neighbors are wonderful, but they have the same concerns that as soon as CIP sold the complex, it just went to crap.

If you are looking for a place to live, stay away from this place. You are a rent, trash and water payment. They have had many managers over the past several years. The washer/dryers are the smallest ones every made, but they make sure to use them as a selling point as this is all they have to offer. The upkeep of the apartment complex is horrible. If you are looking for a place to rent where they raise the rent and do nothing for the tenants this is the place for you. I would spend your money... at a location where you are treated as more than a rent check, yes those places do exist. No amenities are located here!

Oakwood Trail Apartments
We have lived here for a long time, actually I have lived here since 1996. This complex is slowly going downhill, we have had a number of apartment managers here at this complex. We will be moving next year when our lease is up. Only thing is, we are looking for the same size we have here, very big rooms compared to other apartment complexes.
