Look before you move in

I would not recommend living in these apartments. We moved in in February toward one before we put in our application and liked it. Moved into a different one on the other side of the building that we did not get to tour till we moved in. We have had issues with water leaking from the upstairs neighbors due to them “dumping water by accident“. We called the landlord and put multiple maintenance request. They have never gotten fixed or they just want to fix it by patching it over instead of… tearing down the entire ceiling. The landlord also wants us to have video proof of it leaking because he said he does not believe that it’s leaking from the ceilings. On top of all that we have had a power outage we had to get a hold of him for six times in a row for him to answer, and to let him know that both buildings were out of power. I cannot have a moldy ceiling in my apartment due to me having a three year-old and a newborn. We should not have to call landlord or put multiple maintenance request and get denied the help we need to have a better environment for our kids.

Just don’t

This place was horrible to live in. you can hear rats in the walls I swear to god. Car got broken into in the parking lot. One time our fridge broke and it took weeks for them to fix it. The manager never did a walk through with us when moving in or moving out, then tried to charge us for “dirty carpets” out of our security deposit. This place has no carpets. When I called, he tried to double down and say we “ruined their carpets”. Although they refunded a little for that (after quite an… annoying phone conversation), they still took most of our security deposit for issues that we know did not exist. When we moved in, the place was filthy. We mopped for hours and the cloths still came up black. Someone’s fingernails were in the kitchen drawers. Dirt everywhere! When we moved out, we deep cleaned the entire place. They still charged us the cleaning fee even though they never even had anyone clean in the first place. The water goes out all the time for some reason with very little notice. You can hear everything from outside and it gets quite noisy around 2 am during the Summer. Just don’t rent from here, avoid the nightmare. It is for sure overpriced for what it is.
