The Residences at Spaulding Place

I lived here about 5 months before I had to leave because the cockroach infestation in my building was so bad. On top of that, the building always smelled like smoke because smokers sit at the end of the hallways and smoke out the hall windows. At one point there was a random stranger in a sleeping bag who slept in the hallway for a few nights. Neighbors from my hall or downstairs could often be heard shouting, banging around or arguing. Police were there frequently. Could usually smell the… strong smell of pot in the building. There was an old pile of vomit in the hallway on my floor that no one had bothered to clean up. Random holes in the hallway walls from fights or careless tenants. Not a comfortable place for a single professional woman to live alone. The rental office is disgusting; management has cats that are allowed to wander around and there was hair everywhere. Delapidated furniture piled up in the office. The conference room where I signed my lease looked like it had never been cleaned. I should have known what a slum I was about to move into. When my neighbors across the hall told me they had bedbugs, I started moving out that night, and am gladly paying $400/month more for a much nicer place. Don’t move here, you will regret it. Horrible cockroach infestation, management does nothing about it. When I heard my neighbors across the hall also had bedbugs I moved out without completing my lease. I’m now being taken to small claims court over my last month of rent, even though I sent management a letter with printed photos of some of the MANY cockroaches that lived in my disgusting apartment. The management office itself is filthy, and the people who work there are rude. It’s a horrible place to live, absolutely steer clear!

they have a cockroach infestation that they dont take care of they also rent to very bad people had someone try to break into my house seen throw up all over the hallways broken windows. drug addicts in the parking lot messing with cars. someone had their car stolen here and have gotten numerous threats from the people who live there. had a broken oven and dishwasher that took them iver 6 months to come and repair and when they did they raised my rent 100 dollars

Bedbugs, cockroaches and terrible management! Wont replace anything for you on a timely basis, and when contacted about their cockroach issue, throw it to the side until you threaten to withhold rent. So many issues during the 2 and a half years I rented from these people, so badly infested and the management does nothing to help keep the building clean and up to code. Homeless people constantly sleeping in the hallways smoking cigarettes and doing drugs, to the point I stopped calling the… police because the management company never pursued anything. Not to mention the break in I had, where i called the police and nothing was done about it. The women who broke into my apt was a druggie drifter who was staying with someone who owned a unit and the management company still did nothing. So if you're someone who loves sharing your apt with homeless people and bugs, this apartment is for you.
