If you can’t handle smells or noise, look elsewhere
Cons: NO cabana, no sundeck, patios are just ground floor balconies, no walking/biking trails (literally just sidewalks along the street that randomly end, or behind the buildings along the loud turnpike where no one picks up their dog poop) like they are advertising in the highlights. The pool is tiny and access to it is ridiculously pricey, not included in rent. Being in between the turnpike and rt 1 means constant noise and trash. Parking is a hassle if you come home after 7, even though you... pay for it. If you don’t smoke, your apartment will still smell like smoke because indoor smoking is allowed, and property management/maintenance won’t do anything about it even if it gives you health issues. The dryers in unit need to run for 3 100-minute cycles for a load to be dry. Ants in the summer coming out of the floors and moldings, cold air coming in from windows and doors in the winter because nothing is sealed properly. Maintenance also won’t get rid of cat-pee stained flooring in our water heater room, so apartment smells like cigarettes from neighbors and cat pee from previous tenants (only applicable to pet friendly buildings, there are buildings that are pet free).
Pros: even though maintenance does the bare minimum (sloppy), they do get to you in a timely manner and will be there in a few minutes if you get locked out of your unit. Apartments are right behind a BJs, dollar store, and nail salon. You are within five minutes of restaurants, Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, ShopRite, Asian grocery stores, and activities like top golf (need to cross rt 1 to access them). Our 1 br 1 bth has nice natural lighting. Having an in unit washer and dryer (even if it doesn’t work properly) is definitely nice too. Price of units is also cheaper than a lot of other places for the square footage, but that means don’t expect anything above bare minimum.
