Calling this a "luxury" apartment community is honestly laughable!

The apartments themselves are attractive, but luxury living is about much more than what is inside your front door. It's the overall experience, and that's where this property falls far short.

The hallways feel more like a budget hotel than a luxury building. The carpets are cleaned so infrequently that I can literally watch the same piece of trash or a dirty tissue sit on the floor for weeks before anyone removes it. During the summer, the hallway temperature is consistently over 85 degrees,...
while the lobby and first floor remain comfortably air-conditioned around 70 degrees. Apparently only the areas prospective tenants see deserve climate control.

The dog waste stations are another ongoing issue. They routinely overflow with bags of dog waste over the weekends, leaving piles of waste baking in 90-degree heat. The smell becomes so bad that you have to cross the street to avoid it. That's not what anyone paying luxury-level rent should have to deal with.

I understood there was no concierge when I signed my lease, but I didn't expect food deliveries to be left scattered across the vestibule floor. There used to be a table where deliveries could at least be organized, but management removed it in an effort to "teach" delivery drivers to bring food directly to residents' apartments. Instead, many drivers simply leave orders on the floor. Residents are the ones paying the price for a lesson that clearly isn't working.

Communication from management is equally frustrating. Important information—such as alarm testing or other building-related events—is often poorly communicated or not communicated at all. Yet we'll receive emails asking residents to avoid cooking with spices because someone complained about hallway odors. Even more bizarre, management once sent a building-wide email inviting only a small group of lease-renewing residents to the office for pizza, essentially emailing everyone else to let them know they weren't invited. It was an odd and unnecessary message.

So what exactly makes this property "luxury"? Beautiful apartments alone don't justify that label. Clean, well-maintained common areas, prompt communication, attention to resident experience, and basic upkeep are what separate luxury communities from ordinary ones. Unfortunately, the rent here reflects luxury pricing, but the day-to-day experience does not.

POOR MANAGEMENT

Do not expect to get help with any situation at this complex. They blame you for their mistakes. Steer clear.

Poor management, STAY CLEAR

Parking is a nightmare! Paid spots are constantly being taken due to the fact that the garage door has not worked since day one of living here.(spots are $75 each) The garbage room is constantly filthy. Amenities have fizzled out and are non existent at this point. There are constantly children running around the halls unsupervised. Trash is constantly left in random places in the hallway. Residents don’t clean up after their pets and there is no accountability. The fire alarm randomly goes off... multiple times a month.( it once happened non stop @ 2am on a Tuesday) The list goes on and on.

Noisy and poor management

The neighbors above me I can hear every footstep they, their kid and dog makes, there is terrible insulation and no privacy between apartments. I even heard my neighbors yell at 6m about why the lady doesn't get to get off during. THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH IT!!!! The walls and ceilings would shake from the neighbors above me. I complained multiple times to management and they did nothing about the excess noise coming from the neighbors. Now there is now a cricket problem starting in September which... makes it very hard to enjoy the living room and fall asleep at night. The train which I was told by the leasing agent was not bad is extremely loud and you can hear train whistles from 5am to 2 am daily so have fun with that. Any maintenance requests took days to be addressed. There is also an issue with the fire alarm that went off more than three times within 6 months. This deafening alarm kept me up on three separate occasions. There are a lot of kids here so if you like peace and quiet don't rent here because the hallway is used as a a playground. This place sucks please do not rent here unless you are desperate! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Clean, Safe, New Apartment Complex in a Great Location!

I love living at the Crossings! It is quiet, neighbors are friendly, and the property manager, Emma is wonderful. There is a gym, amazon hub, and great outdoor lounge area. There is covered parking available as well as visitor parking. The complex is walking distance from many restaurants and just a 5-10 minute drive to Downtown Somerville as well as the Bridgewater Commons. I would highly recommend!
