The house, originally a cabin, has been substantially renovated and offers a large bedroom, a smaller cozy bedroom, two bathrooms, and a finished basement. The living room boasts a comfortable sectional couch, a gas fireplace, and a Frame TV with streaming platforms. The recently updated kitchen is equipped with new appliances and basic essentials like eggs, bread, and fresh coffee. The peaceful sunroom provides amazing lake views, a reading chair, and a small dinette.
Firewood is always stocked for use at the island's fire pit, and outdoor furniture including Adirondack chairs and a large dining table are available. Guests are welcome to use any of the provided boats. A local chef's number can be provided for private dining experiences.
Located on a quieter part of the lake within the private Highland Lakes community, this home offers a sense of community and nature with abundant wildlife. The community features 5 lakes and 7 beaches for exploration. The house operates on a septic system, so please be mindful of what is flushed. Friends are welcome to visit during the day, with a limit of 2 extra day visitors without prior permission. Smoking is not allowed inside the house, but an ashtray is provided in the side yard. Shoes should be removed upon entering the house. Due to the sensitive septic system, dishes should be pre-rinsed before using the dishwasher. The living room fireplace usage is limited to less than 6 hours per day, with monitoring in place. Outside noise should be kept to a minimum after 10 pm, as sound carries over water and community association fines may be forwarded. Island cushions should be kept inside at night to preserve the furniture. No glass is allowed outside. The island fire pit should be used responsibly, with a spark screen and never left unattended. When boating and swimming, always wear a life jacket and never dive head first due to rocks and stumps. Island landscape lights should not be on past 10 pm. Pets are allowed and require paws to be wiped upon entry, blankets on furniture if allowed on it, and must be kept leashed outside the island area due to wildlife.
