Pinewood Estates

I’ve been living at Pinewood Estates for a year, and my experience has been wonderful overall. The property is beautiful, and the ongoing renovations are making it even more stunning. While the construction can sometimes make things a bit inconvenient, it’s exciting to see the improvements happening and knowing they’re investing in the community.

The management team here is fantastic:

Layla, the Assistant Manager, is always professional and quick to address any concerns.

Bernice, the Senior… Leasing Agent, is warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful.

Erick, the Leasing Agent, made the leasing process easy and continues to provide great support whenever needed.


The community itself is amazing. All of my neighbors are friendly and even willing to help if you need something. It’s a great atmosphere to live in, and I feel lucky to be part of such a kind and welcoming environment.

On the day my wife and I moved in, the A/C was broken, the dishwasher leaked, the smoke alarm didn't work, and most electrical outlets didn't work properly.

We were promised a working A/C by the time we moved in (May 7th), however we didn't get one until June. It was consistently 85+ degrees in our unit, often reaching 90 or over for over a month. It was absolutely miserable, and some of our food went bad faster than expected because it was so hot. We received a small discount on rent for… this.

After reporting it on the unit condition report, I had to talk to the front desk multiple times and put in a service request for them to finally fix the smoke alarm, and it started chirping again the next day.

I had to talk to the front desk multiple times before they finally sent someone to fix the dishwasher, and the maintenance guy spend 10 mins poking around, said it was fixed, but it STILL leaks.

After putting it on the unit condition report, I put in a service request to have them fix the electrical outlets, it was marked as resolved, however they STILL don't work properly.

I am sick of constantly having to go report things that are broken and follow up about it, only for nothing to get done. Terrible experience. Read More

Water gets shut off multiple times a month, they don’t notify you until the day of!! You will wake up to no running water to shower, brush teeth, wash hands etc. Management is awful even the new management that took over a month ago. The buildings are old and not kept up. There is mold in the apartments and roaches. Do not live here!! You’ll regret it!!

First, I agree with all other reviews, management is SO rude. I dread having to call the office because they always have an attitude. But when my husband goes in, they’re nice to him.

Second, they are ALWAYS shutting the water off! Completely beyond ridiculous. It’s at least 2 times a month!

Third, they do zero pest control outside. Walking from my car to the door there’s easily 15-20 big roaches, and if you don’t keep your place immaculately clean at all times you can expect them in your… house to.

Fourth, there’s homeless people camping out at the side of the complex.

There are pros though. The apartments are decently priced for what you pay. The residents are MOSTLY quiet and respectful. Within walking distance of 2 parks and all of uptown.

We’ll see what the new ownership does. Thankfully I hear that old staff are leaving with old management. Hopefully we’ll see good change. Read More
