Sierra Meadows

I have been a tenant here for 17 months, and for the most part everything is fine until there is ANYTHING the management has to do. First they gave me a unit that wasn't ready to be moved into. Carpet had meth burn holes and additional burn droplets all over the kitchen counters and floor. The overall flooring structure has had patchwork, you can feel random sheets of wood assumingly over bad planks then covered with the carpet. I was told at move in that "the carpet was brand new so they wont... replace it" even with all the chemical burns all over the front of the apartment. I said it was ok and bought a rug to cover most of the carpet. Then fast forward 2 months and my roof was leaking. Mind you I am on the second floor, so I did what I can to try and save my downstairs neighbor from flooding too, and called the emergency line. To which did not work, nor was anyone returning calls from any of the available contact lines. It took 3 days for the grounds people to get to my issue in the que, and was basically told it was above their abilities. The management told them to close out the issue as resolved so they didn't have the parent company asking why there were long standing issues unresolved. Then with no one coming out to fix it I put up 2 additional requests for the same thing, one involving electrical that the water damage and they replaced the damaged light fixture. They said again the leak is out of their ability. Manager Ana told me that i was SOL and if I wanted to move to a unit that wasn't leaking, then I would have to pay the lease break fee, a new deposit, and moving fees upward of 2k for something THEY should have fixed from the jump. Fast forward to this week, still in the same apartment. still dealing with the same leak with electrical fixtures. They are seemingly purposely ignoring water, electrical, and fire damage risks because of overall incompetence which all violates county, state, and federal tenant laws. These apartments are so beautiful and spacious and luxurious. You really do get the bang for your buck with these apartments. Not only are the apartments to die for the staff are truly amazing. Any problem I had they solved it in a timely manner with respect and expeditiously. Mrs. Jessica Is the best leasing manager Sierra Meadows has to offer she made my Process stress-free and flawless. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT LIVING HERE! the management it’s awful they treat you inhumanely they could care less if you have a complaint a leak or any mold in your house they have consistently pushed off any maintenance saying that their vendor is unable to come out and that they would have to make me wait over the weekend. The worst part is my toilet was overflowing but since it wasn’t overflowing at a certain pace they said it wasn’t an emergency my whole house and carpet was almost all soaked in... my bedroom and they thought that this was OK to push off till Monday and this was Friday night I reported the problem .Then on top of all of this I have three young children in my house That have to breathe in the mold and will have to deal with any side effects from this mold. Also on top of all of that as well they treat you as if you’re just some annoying tenant Who doesn’t deserve any respect or sympathy. I’ve already reported them to HUD & will continue to spread the word of how awful the landlords treat the tenants I have spoken to various other people that live around me and they’ve gotten the same treatment regardless if this is something that everybody has encountered it should not be something that anyone else has to deal with if you would like to live somewhere where the landlords treat you with dignity and respect this is not the place cancel your application and run! Regretfully one of the worst places I've stayed in my life. Theft and vandalism are commonplace, and management won't allow you to do a thing about it (e.g. put up a camera) much less help you themselves. Over the past 10 months I've seen a half dozen arrests on campus which I prayed would get better. I've had deliveries from shoes to food stolen or vandalized. It's a joke here. Spend an extra 100 or 200 dollars and find a place that's actually safe and at the very least not hostile. You'll save... so much more in regret and lost items. The manager Doesn't know how to run the apartments right the manager punishes the people if they complain about running ect.
