Apartment Review
1. Move-In Experience
Very frustrating — my unit was ready 4–5 hours after the promised time with no notice. I had to pay extra for rental cars because of the delay.
The apartment was not very clean on arrival — there was visible dust and spots throughout.
The washing machine, dishwasher, and drains all had strong odors that I had to clean myself.
The shower drain was clogged immediately after moving in.
2. Apartment Quality
Finishing: The unit feels cheaply done — there are paint splatters... throughout, and the toilet clogs regularly.
Fire Alarms: This is my biggest complaint. The alarms are extremely sensitive — boiling water or even steam from the oven will set them off instantly, and they are very loud. They also frequently go off because of other apartments, which makes working from home difficult.
Air Conditioning: The AC is very loud. It made sleeping difficult at first, though I’ve gotten used to it.
Appliances: The laundry machine works fine. The fridge cools unevenly, and the oven/stove don’t reach accurate temperatures (I often need to turn them up or add 15–20 minutes when baking).
Package Delivery: Delivery drivers often struggle to find the right entrance and hallways because signage is poor. I’ve seen packages left outside the building, which is frustrating.
Hallway Smell: The hallways consistently smell bad due to trash valet service, open trash chutes, and poor ventilation.
3. Safety
Exterior doors are often propped open with rocks.
Police reports show frequent car break-ins in the garage.
The garage is poorly lit, and there are no security cameras.
4. Amenities
Trash Valet: Since it’s mandatory and paid, I use it. At first, pickup was unreliable, but it has improved after complaints. Occasionally, trash is still missed.
Pool: I haven’t used it.
Gym: Clean and maintained, but can get busy.
5. Parking
The parking system uses stickers that don’t work well. It would be better if the same key fob used for the doors worked here.
The main entrance fob was broken for two weeks before being fixed — only after a resident left a note suggesting bad reviews.
Guest parking is very limited.
6. Location
Great location — close to the freeway and surrounded by lots of food options.
7. Staff
I haven’t interacted much with staff, but during move-in they were disorganized, made mistakes, and were not very responsive.
