Eagle Rock Apartments at Mineola

Nice updated apartments. Administration is very reliable (and very friendly) with paper work and maintenance. Great place to live.

I lived at the Eagle Rock Property in Mineola for over 5 years. The location is a definite plus considering shopping, restaurants, LIRR and a reputable hospital are all within a 5 minute drive. Parking isn't too bad with the option of visitor's parking when your're home after 7PM (you probably will not get a spot in front of your unit otherwise). With all of that convenience comes a lot of sacrifice. Within a few months of living there I had my first encounter with a water bug. My building... was above a boiler room which may or may not have made a difference but during the course of 5 years there were at least 50 that were found either dead or waiting in the dark to give you enough of a scare to never want to see them again. The exterminator that management had who I had come several times couldn't figure out the problem and was useless. It wasn't too conducive to pick up and leave so it was tolerated for way too long. These bugs would be gone for a few weeks, maybe even a month but they would always find a way back in to give you a surprise. If your neighbors are not willing to let the exterminator in their apartment the whole building will always be infested. Neighbors were all rude and disrespectful allowing children to bounce off of walls during all hours of the morning and late nights in their un-carpeted apartments, which by rental law is illegal. After allowing small dogs a few years back, stepping in what wasn't cleaned up from these animals from their ignorant owners was a common occurrence. If is snows a lot make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle otherwise when management plows the roads and you're never getting over the pile of snow behind your car without a couple hours of shoveling. Making a left turn during normal business hours out of the development on to Old Country Road toward Roosevelt Field is nearly impossible without having to cut someone off or put yourself in danger. The front doors to each unit that were recently installed with locks and an intercom system to keep intruders out (there were multiple break ins throughout the property) are broken. They will find a way to take all or part of your security deposit even after leaving the apartment in immaculate condition. With all of this, please make the right decision. Read More

Eagle Rock (formerly know as Fairhaven)Apartments at Mineola provides a quality living space for any renter. This location is in a great location. It is on the main stretch of Old Country Road, but nestled in between Mineola and parts of Garden City. It is close to the train station, just off the highway, and close to Roosevelt Field. The exterior is dated; however, they are in the process of renovating many of the units with updated kitchens, flooring, and bathrooms. While these apartments are... in a very convenient location, it comes at a price. (Compared to other options in the surrounding area).

Denise, the new manager at this location is very helpful and explains everything you need to know. She is very vigilant and gets to know the tenants and the units.

Parking is included (1 vehicle permit allowed per unit); however, electric, cable/internet(choices are Verizon or Optimum) are not. There are two laundry facilities on the property. (Card operated. Re-loadable card given at time of move in). Read More

The apartment is clean, all my appliances work yet if i do have issues the landlord is great about sending someone to fix anything. Its really quiet now that my crazy neighbors left and they put in a quiet guy with no kids next to me so I am really pleased.
