Lately, we’ve been struggling with living here. We joined the dog community and love being part of it, but a few residents who dislike animals make it difficult for those of us who care for them. We always follow the rules and clean up after our dog, but it’s unfair to treat all pet owners the same. Living in a pet-friendly community means respecting both neighbors and their pets.
Dogs are animals — sometimes accidents happen. If one can’t reach the designated area in time, it’s not the end of... the world. What’s disheartening is how quick some are to judge instead of showing understanding. By shaming owners who do clean up and follow the rules, you’re creating a more hostile, less welcoming environment for everyone.
There are many wonderful people here, but in certain buildings, the negativity toward pets and owners has become too strong. We just wish the same kindness extended to all — including our pets.
