Perimeter Lakes Apartments

I had multiple issues with safety at Perimeter Lakes with my apartment being broken into more than once. Management is not supportive, they will charge you extra any time they can, and will lie to you. Maintenance improves during the time I was there but took over a month from when I moved in to restore water and fix other significant health and safety issues. They never fixed the foot sized hole in a door that was there when I moved in and documented on my move in paperwork. They left towels in... the closet where the water heater was when it was damaged and leaking due to it still leaking, then made comments about me leaving towels in the water heater closet on my move out paperwork when I was asking about my security deposit. They didn’t give me any of my security deposit back from the first apartment for months after I moved out until I confronted them about it. When I requested to move in to an upstairs apartment due to the safety issues, they repeatedly rejected it unless I would pay significantly more, (despite me making requests to move into the same style apartment above me in my same building) due to being hospitalized after an assault during a break in. When I eventually moved to an upstairs apartment, there were multiple things that were broken in the new apartment also. While maintenance was quicker to respond, it still took weeks before some things were fixed to basic functioning and there was mold/mildew from water damage in multiple spaces. The apartments are very out of date and in need of updates and repairs. There has been vandalism to the pool and clubhouse, packages are stolen from the mailroom.
I moved here without seeing the apartment 1st it is not worth the premium rent that is charged it is a shame since they are in a nice location within walking distance to parks, shopping and restaurants
