Lake Forest Apartments

First of all don’t move here if you like trash in your hallways and the smell of marijuana!! Do not move here if you can’t afford to fix things on your own maintenance doesn't respond well with requests so I advise you to blow the office phone up , wait let me save you time they don’t answer it at all but they love to sit in the office and be super busy to answer a phone that conversation can take less than 5 mins !!! My car was broken into !! Make sure you call the non emergency number ( not… 911 but the non emergency number ) make your complaints to them for example loud neighbors this and that and save it get a report number. Anything so you have proof that you spoke to the office and you called officers out thank me later !! The walls are thin very thin that I hear my upstairs neighbors bed squeak !! The apartment we tried to live in was uninhabitable. There was black mold on all the windows and in the seal of the fridge door. There was green mold on the cabinet doors. The smell of rodent urine was horrible. There were mouse droppings in the utility closet. Not to mention the apartment itself was very dirty when we moved in. We could not stay there. There was grease coming down the wall from the stove exhaust. There was a hole in one of the doors and crayon writing on the doors. And… now they are taking their time returning our money to us. I recently toured the model units and grounds of Lake Forest as part of my search for an apartment rental.They did not have a unit available that met my needs (first floor, wood view) but Erica in the leasing office did an excellent job. It was the end of what looked to be a busy Saturday for her, yet she was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She followed up with me on Monday. When I moved in to Lake Forest and during my move in process the office staff has been nothing but extremely helpful in assisting me in everything i needed to do. The move in process was made easy due to their ability to send my lease to me electronically down to walking the apartment during my move in. I absolutely love it here and love the location!
