Know what you're getting into

I would not recommend living here. Even though it's a small complex it needs a lot of repairs. The only repairs that are done are the ones that cost them more money to leave as it is than to repair it. The property manager resides in California and constantly watches door entrance cameras for lease violations. The cameras are not for the safety of residents like you would think. There are other cameras located on the building but they do not work at all, for example the parking lot has cameras... pointed on it however they are not working. Also the covered parking has no security cameras on it as well. And it cost $35 a month to park under the covered parking that is very small to begin with. The property manager communicates exclusively by email which could be potentially bad for you if she decides to interpret your email in a negative way, or ifthere's a disagreement, misunderstanding or miscommunication then you could end up being provoked to move out or get a flat out eviction notice. I have seen several tenants in and out in the short time I've been here. And I know most of them were evicted for a trivial reasons. Also many of the units in the small complex have stayed vacant for a long time including the commercial business side on the south end of this complex. To have a good time living here you would have to be a favorite of the property manager. There are some residents that have been here a while and they get preferential treatment. The property itself is not that bad, but really it is a very old building. The best thing going for it is the location and neighborhood that is in. This is a income-restricted property if that makes any difference. How well you get along with the property manager aka the landlord will determine how well you like staying here. Your mileage may vary if you decide to stay here.
