The Gables at Westlake

Maintenance is non-existent. Wooden railings are rotting while metal railings are rusted. Actual plants and weeds are growing in the gutters lining the roofs. Dogs and children run freely making noise and messes. My dog has been attacked 3 times (by different dogs, mine was leashed) while trying to walk her. My brand new car was keyed on the 2nd night I had it. So many reasons not move here. Its very unfortunate, it used to a very nice property.

I love the Gables!! I am sad to be moving, my only reason is to be closer to school / work. I previously lived in edmond and had high high HIGH expectations for apartments in NW OKC. These apartments are truly a hidden gem. The ceilings are high, carpet is clean. As a police officers daughter (and a young woman in college) i am extremely cautious over where i choose to live. Upon leasing, my dad and i looked the apartments up on a public crime map and saw nothing at all for the past 2 years. I... feel like these apartments are so safe and smart for not advertising everywhere (rental apps/facebook)- it makes me feel like there arent so many crazy people trying to live here! I chose to go with the gables because of the affordability and hospitality. Its a small complex and i havent had a single maintenance issue or seen a single bug. Its AMAZING. its quiet and is mostly older-folks or families. Theres never a ton of traffic and it feels safe. The pool is THE cutest and is SO nice! Such a great quiet place to relax without too many kids! I love this place and would recommend it / the staff to anyone. If you want the runaround and headache do not move here. You will never get your deposit back so don’t even bother cleaning when you move out!! The new management is HORRIBLE and the staff is always full of excuses and is no help. Security is also a JOKE!! None of our complaints were ever handled on their out of office number during the night when we had noise complaints and when people were drunk in the pool. There have been multiple break-ins including our vehicle which was egged and Beats... headphones were stolen from our truck. The gables promises to spray every three months they do not the apartments are infested w bed bugs the property manager Aston is extremely rude unhelpful do not move here your life will b ruined and they will not only not help you they will treat you inhumane

This is a nice complex. It is very quite all the time. Neighbors are normally to themselves. The management is very helpful. We have a basketball court and we all love to share and invite others to play in the court games.
