Woodscape Apartments

After living at Woodscape Apartments (4200 N Meridian Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73112) for a full decade, recent management decisions have forced us to move when our lease comes up for renewal at the end of May.
For several MONTHS we dealt with no workable hot water, which made everyday life extremely difficult. When it was time to discuss renewal terms, management flat-out refused to negotiate anything at all.
The management became not only useless, but down right hostile to any query I made about... the status of the hot water, or other issues, and only worked toward getting the issue resolved when I called code enforcement. The issue persisted for months before I finally had no choice but to do so out of frustration. Now that we are moving out at the end of our term they also refused to accept our notice to vacate stating that breaking our lease will result in extra fees. Our lease ends in may and we are leaving in may, but they refuse to even discuss the terms.
Ten years of being a reliable tenant apparently counted for nothing. Between the ongoing maintenance failures and the complete lack of flexibility on lease renewals, we had no choice but to leave. They do not take care of their residents and the upkeep/ac issues in apartment complex in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma called Woodscape apartments

horrible office staff they will never answer the phone, maintenance is a joke there have been broken stair like to get to your second or third story apartment that have been broken for months, police here all time of night, neighbors have gotten bad too there are people arguing outside and dog owners leave poop everywhere, the concrete smells like dog pee!! don’t move here!!!!

Reasonable rent for an upscale apt. Lived there about 4 years ago, though. Maintenance was the best, manager was great. Neighbors are the same everywhere. Some good. I could not think of a better apartment in OKC. This would have been 5 stars, but when we left, their checklist was not accurate and we deserved more from our deposit.

This used to be a nice place but since the new management took over it has went down fast. No security, smell weed and smoke throughout the units. This place is looking like the slums. Pools are trashed, trash everywhere and no one cares. My apt was due to be upgraded before new management took over, currently have a rusted sink and tub is starting to rust but the rent keeps going up, been here 5+ years but will now have to move, I no longer feel safe here. Management doesn’t care at all.
