Chaddwell Apartments

I strongly recommend Chaddwell Community to whoever wants to look for apartment near Exton, Downingtown or Malvern area. I can say best community to live here. The staff is very helpful and respond very quickly for whatever queries or concerns I had. The maintenance is very good and if there are any maintenance issues, they will address the issues without delays. Hence I recommend to anyone who wishes to stay here.

I moved here 6 years ago following my divorce. It has turned out to be an amazing experience. We have a great pool and new clubhouse with exercise equipment.
We also have the most friendly and very capable maintenance department. They are always on time and willing to repair, replace or help with even the most unusual requests.
Chaddwell is so convenient to food shopping and much much more.
Then there is our office staff headed up by the always professional Kate. Kate seems to set the tone for... the entire team. She is always available and seems to always look for ways to say yes we can. Her pleasant personality makes you look for reasons to stop in.
The complex is always being upgraded, looks beautiful in winter and spring and of course fall.
It is a pleasant walk to the trash containers. I think they were full on one or two occasions which have been at the end of the month or Christmas.
I cannot recommend a better place to live.

Horrible management. I would never stay here again. They charge additional fees while you vacate even if you return the apartment in original condition. I cleaned the apartment really well and yet I got charged 500$ while vacating. I have rented apartments elsewhere and never had a bad experience before. Everywhere I got my deposit fully refunded, except at Chaddwell.
There is no trash removal. You have to walk all the way to the trash receptors in winter snow. Their recycle bins are always... overloaded and never have any room to fit any more trash, so you end up leaving your garbage outside. I don't recommend renting at Chaddwell. Read More

If your thinking about renting here, I would advise you to go elsewhere, spend a little bit more and rent a townhouse.

The Garbage situation is horrible: they have 1 huge garbage compactor and recycling for everyone (500 people). It is disgusting and in the summer there are swarms of flies around it. I dread everytime I have to take out the trash and gag whenever I get there.

Also, there are a lot of smokers and the smoke comes through the vents. It would make sense to not put smokers in the... apartments adjacent to non-smokers. Read More

I've been a tenant for almost 12 years and have loved every minute of living here. The staff and maintenance group are top of the line. The grounds are always well manicured and maintained. It's very quiet and tranquil. Exton has become a thriving metropolis so it's hard to believe that a major intersection is only blocks away. Shopping within walking distance. Would love to stay forever.
