Go somewhere else if you can.
There is mold everywhere. The a.c. units constantly fill with mold. The roof leaks and they just paint over the drip marks. The management office does not answer the phone timely. I doubt that the office passes along issues to the maintenance men. There is a rodent problem. All they do is put snap traps down to solve the problem. No preventive measures. The windows were poorly installed I get a bad draft in the winter causing me to have use blankets and plastic to seal the windows. People with... pets do not clean up after the pet. They often walk their dog to "sneaky" places like by the cars etc. Some are brazen enough to let the animal go right in the courtyard and then they proceed back to their apartment without cleaning. The hot water frequently does not work. Heat is free but is on a controlled thermostat. Last year in mid winter they turned the thermostat to 66 to try to be cheap. Some of the more tenured residents noticed it was colder than usual and called the office. The office tried to deny the claim and gaslight the residents into thinking its always been that way. Eventually the abundance of calls lead them to turn it back up to 70 degrees and the office blamed the recent repair company for not turning the master thermostat to the original setting. I hope that sets in. The boiler broke it was very cold for a few days. They fixed the boiler but tried to be sneaky and keep it low. They got caught and tried to spin it on the residents and then when they really got caught they blamed the repair company for not putting it to the original setting. This kind of stuff happens on the regular and then they are nice enough to increase your rent no matter what. Every year the rent goes up even if you pay on time every time. They will add on fees to your rent so you have to pay close attention to the electronic notices they send you. Overall I would recommend you try to find another place to rent.
