Pennbrook Apartments

I have lived at Pennbrook Apartments for approximately 4 years and have been extremely happy with the property, the staff and all the amenities too. They continue to make improvements to the property when needed. The staff and maintenance are always friendly. We love the swimming pool and game room in the clubhouse along with being walking distance to the train. I'm very happy to have chosen to live here when looking in the area.

Beautiful Community

The community is beautiful, peaceful and well kept. The clubhouse is a big perk with a well stocked coffee area and pool table/game room. Walking the grounds is a delight as well as sitting around the fire pit for relaxation and conversation. Management has always been appropriately responsive to all requests which have been few during my time here. The interior of my unit was beautiful with quality building materials. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a peaceful and... beautiful place to live.

Still haven't received my safety deposit

Property is OK at best, looks decent but very cheaply made. You will quickly realize that once you move in. Overall decent experience, however its been almost 2 months since I've moved out- still haven't received the return of my safety deposit despite a clean walk-thru, and having been promised that the check is already in the mail nearly a month ago. Supper disappointed, and due to their lack of communication and attention i would neither live here again nor recommend. This is the service you... can expect.

The good, The bad, & The ugly

Good: (2 bedroom with garage) Storage, carpeting, walls, bathrooms, appliances, kitchen.

Bad: Maintenance are knucklehead goof-offs & management co-signs it, does not notify you when things last serviced, central air vents dirty, dryer vent dirty, rusted fire sprinklers, trash and recycling problem, drafty windows.

Ugly: Culture (snooty) suited for those who are like-minded and if not its like high school, noise, several things wrong as you walk thru complex (litter, debris from trees, etc)... makes you wonder what maintenance does or if complex has funds for it, close garages are accidents waiting to happen with kids and those who walk by with dogs so best be careful.

Don't be fooled by how complex looks aesthetically. Give it some time. You have to decide if inside of apartment is worth everything stated above.

Smokers Paradise

They allow smoking on site and also in unit. It’s not necessarily the smokers fault, but if you don’t want your place to smell of smoke do not look here. The vents are connected and the HVAC is so archaic that when a neighbor smokes inside their unit, it can blow into your own unit and causes such a horrible stench. Managers have sent emails saying they cannot stop smokers from smoking (which I get) but update the buildings so we do not keep getting second hand smoke. People have kids and... animals living here and that is not a proper condition for them.
