Poor soundproofing and unhappy when your neighbor has a bass
My family has been here more than 1 year. And we will move to Boston this December. If you are applying to live here, DO NOT live in 879-102 which we live now. We have two neighbors next to our home. One is very quiet and nice who sometimes bring some fresh vegetables they grown. The other is awful. They have been living here more than 8 years. They got a powerful audio system(including bass) connected to their tv in living room last year. And they usually watch tv from noon to late night. After... talking and arguing with them, emailing to landlord, calling police twice, they just turn down the volume after 10pm. Our daughter is 21 months now. She still need a nap in the afternoon. But we cannot sleep upstairs with the sounds from the bass knocking the wall and the floor. So, if you have young children and you need a quiet place to live, DO NOT live in this unit unless the neighbor move out someday.
The Yorkshire village apartments are good for the low income families to get through their difficulties. Most families will move out once they have more budget to leave the apts to the people who need them urgent. I wish you all live here happy!
