Although individual apartments may be updated, any common area in and out of these buildings is outdated and depressing to look at. They also have incredibly strict by laws with no room for error. You will not be able to decorate or have any outdoor anything stored on your own personal balcony. They do not plow well in the winter and you will almost always have to shovel out behind your car afterwards. Neighbors seem to mind their own business for the most part, but there seems to be a few very... nosy ones who ruin it. Be prepared for fines due to some ridiculous rules involving things that do not affect anyone else. Please make sure to read every single by law before renting or owning before you make any desicion to live or rent here. It's truly a shame that people cannot just live here without being scrutinized constantly for very silly things. While I am just a renter I consider myself a good tenant/neighbor. That being said, I recently was told that someone complained about a dog. I had been dog sitting my daughters Boston terrier for literally 1 day, when...i get a call saying someone complained about a dog. I took a walk with him and made sure I left the area for him to do his business and cleaned up after him as well. He us a small dog who never barks , but, some people always want to complain. Im just frustrated because, i... had to get a call from my landlord, and I'm a very responsible, clean tenant who was just helping my daughter while she went away for a few days.
