Graystone Heights Luxury Apartments

Unit smelled musty and like pet odor. Old and very worn appliances. Scuffs and dirt on walls. Asked for these things to be taken care of and nothing got better. Ended up having to clean a unit that I just moved into. And it still smelled. And after all of that I asked if I could switch units and they said they “bent over backwards for me” trying to make me feel bad for having standards and asking what should’ve been done in the first place. Current resident. Management is the worst I have ever dealt with in 30 years of renting. This is NOT luxury living. Response from management is always the same- we are sorry you feel that way but-no communication. Security is very poor. Looks are deceiving. They take your money and that is all they are interested in.

I did have a 5 star review before this happened as the facility in itself is nice, but the location and safety has made me rethink this.

Edit: First weekend living here and my car was broken into and my stuff was stolen. Called the Graystone team and was told "Unfortunately, that happens in Sioux Falls." They were helpful in the fact that they sent me the link to file my police report, but only assured me that they will try to look at their cameras, but they are more facing the sidewalk and not... the vehicles. I understand it's not entirely their fault, but figured some people reading reviews may like to know apparently, it's not as safe as I thought it was here. Frustrating.

Edit 2: Graystone did contact me to make sure I knew they were going to follow up with the police department. They said they will follow this to the end in hopes to catch the person responsible. It was a very nice gesture. They also did say they were looking into changing the camera angles to view more of the parking area. This does make me feel safer for the future if the cameras actually do get their angles changed. Graystone management themselves deserve 5 stars for following up, but truthfully unless I can get my stuff back or at the very least be convinced they are changing safety measures for their parking lot, for now, I am still kind of worried about my car safety and that keeps my review at 3 stars.

Edit 3: Now criminal activity keeps happening. Now inside the "safer" parking garage ??.

Edit 4: Since the hot tub has not been working for the last month or so, I checked the reviews to see if this had happened before. Wasn't too surprised to see that it had, but I was kind of surprised to see management used the same excuse they are now. They said they fixed the hot tub, but apparently didn't check it because that same weekend they said it was fixed, it still wasn't working. Also, the Theater isn't working now either. We’ve only been at Graystone for about a month now, but are SO glad we chose it! The living spaces are beautiful and updated; makes it feel great to “come home” everyday! Thrilled about the amount of space we have to store things in cabinets and cupboards, everything we own has a place (and we have a lot of stuff!) The community areas are easy to access and up-kept incredibly well! It’s amazing to have access to so many amenities without having to get in the car. The others living here we’ve met... or crossed paths with have been kind, respectful of others, and just a lot of fun to meet and get to know! The property staff are so friendly, and will jump out of their seats to answer questions and help you with anything you might need; and if they can’t, they will find you the person who can. Overall, in even just the short time we’ve been here, we’re positive that if you’re looking to relocate to Sioux Falls, or even just looking for a new area for yourself or your family; upgrading, downsizing, whatever your needs and whoever you are, Graystone is worth checking out! 10/10 would recommend! Just wanted to note that this property is actually in the Harrisburg school district. My son is in 6th grade at North Middle School and is thriving. There's a school bus stop right on our corner, too.

Overall, Graystone Heights is a beautiful and welcoming apartment community. The pools and outdoor courtyard area are stunning -- secluded and vast. We also enjoy using the community room for family gatherings, as well as general chilling out, playing pool, etc.

The office staff is very friendly,... and they're always on the ball. Rent is high, but the amenities are worth it. Ooh, and all utilities are included. Read More
