Mainstead at Century Farms Apartments

I have lived at this apartment community since it opened in August 2023 and have never been late on my rent. Unfortunately, my recent experience with management has completely changed my opinion of this property.

When I attempted to pay my rent, the payment did not process for reasons that are still unclear. I had sufficient funds available in my account and was willing to provide bank statements to verify that the money was there. Despite having a perfect payment history for nearly three years... and making every effort to resolve the issue, management refused to waive the $190 in late fees.

What makes this especially disappointing is that I have remained a resident through numerous serious incidents at this property. During my time here, there has been a fire in my building, a murder that occurred directly outside my door, and multiple carjackings near my balcony. While these events raised concerns about safety, I chose to stay because of the convenient location and hoped management valued long-term residents.

Instead, when a one-time payment issue occurred despite my strong rental history, there was no flexibility, understanding, or willingness to work with me. That response spoke volumes.

The location is still convenient, but customer service and resident appreciation are clearly lacking. After this experience, I can confidently say that I will not be renewing my lease when it expires. Read More

I would rate this 2.5 stars. The staff was very helpful and are amazing. There were issues with carpet stains from the previous tenant that are noticeable and cannot be removed, so I have to live with it.

My biggest issue that frustrates me a lot is the ceiling fan and light in my bedroom. Every apartment I have lived in had a ceiling fan with light, I assumed it was usual. When I tour this apartment, I was under the impression that every bedroom would have one. I wasn't aware on the tour. I... did not know about it until after I had turn over the money and signed everything. Had I known that, it would've sway me to my other apartment options.

With talking to management, I found out that I have to pay $150 to have one installed. $150 for one that I will not even be keeping. I have been sweating so much in my room and had to use my phone light to even go through my dresser. Now I either have to pay this or spend just as much for lamp and fan. Read More

We have loved our time at mainstead and plan on renewing our lease. The community feels safe, amenities are clean, and maintenance takes care of things smoothly and in a timely manner. Our only complaints would be that our kids have stepped in dog poop left by other residents and loud cars drive by in the area and startle dogs/kids sometimes. There is nothing wrong with the apartments or management themselves. Definitely recommend this place to friends and family when asked.

A company that provides exceptional customer service from beginning to end. A well kept property and friendly employees. Overall, I’m very happy to be here.

My experience was easy and great. Cam was great. The community is beautiful and I believe my stay at Mainstead will be great. I am excited to decorate and enjoy my apartment.
