Buyer Beware
I have been a resident here for about a year and a half, and I didn’t have any problems until the complex got purchased by Atlas. About two months after the purchase, the office called me and informed me that I had to vacate my apartment in 60 days. I asked why they were trying to break my legally binding lease (which had 5 months left), and they said it was because they wanted to renovate my unit. No one even accused me of breaking any terms of my lease. When I told them that I didn’t have to... move—having a valid lease—they told me they would have to “speak with corporate and see what they could work out.” I haven’t heard anything from them since. I truly believe that they were just using scare tactics to try and force me, my wife and my four month old child out of our home. I would not trust any lease agreement that this complex wants you to sign. They are not trustworthy, and the apartments are not worth the rate they are going for anyway.
