Atlas at Goodlett Farms

I have been a resident here for about a year and a half, and I didn’t have any problems until the complex got purchased by Atlas. About two months after the purchase, the office called me and informed me that I had to vacate my apartment in 60 days. I asked why they were trying to break my legally binding lease (which had 5 months left), and they said it was because they wanted to renovate my unit. No one even accused me of breaking any terms of my lease. When I told them that I didn’t have to... move—having a valid lease—they told me they would have to “speak with corporate and see what they could work out.” I haven’t heard anything from them since. I truly believe that they were just using scare tactics to try and force me, my wife and my four month old child out of our home. I would not trust any lease agreement that this complex wants you to sign. They are not trustworthy, and the apartments are not worth the rate they are going for anyway. Lee mas
