LC Mount Juliet

At first glance, LC Mount Juliet is a nice-looking community and surprisingly walkable, which is why we chose to live here. Unfortunately, our experience quickly became a nightmare.

Shortly after moving in, our apartment was flooded by the unit above us. From that point forward, we dealt with recurring mold/yeast contamination and a cockroach infestation that continued for months despite repeated maintenance requests (We also briefly had a mouse). Maintenance staff turnover made it difficult to... get consistent follow-up or accountability.

After escalating the issues to regional management, a regional property manager personally toured our unit and still deemed it livable, even while acknowledging that contaminated furniture needed to be discarded. Independent lab testing later identified the substance coming through our HVAC as yeast growth consistent with moisture intrusion from the unresolved flood above our unit.

Ultimately, we had to leave the apartment and were still required to pay two additional months of rent. Future residents should keep detailed records outside the resident portal, as our years of documented maintenance requests were later disputed as "not in writing" during our lease dispute.

The community itself has potential, but management’s handling of serious maintenance and habitability concerns was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I would not recommend LC Mount Juliet or any other Middle Tennessee LC property. Read More

I’ve been here for 15 months so loud. Appliances do not work the run but you have to run everything two or three times to actually wash or cook anything. They will also hammer you on the way out. No upgrading is done. Horrible if you have kids or dogs no dog park no playground. Which you will overlook touring the community because of two grass squares at opposite sides of the neighborhood. Both are covered in dog poop. If you have kids they send out emails telling them not to play in the parking... lot areas. They have no place to go!!! The front office staff has changed so much since I moved in and each time it gets worse. It looks pretty I know but understand they are cheaply built poorly maintained and way overpriced. Look elsewhere you can do so much better!! Beautiful on the outside, a disaster on the inside. EVERYTHING breaks or stops working. Everything? EVERYTHING! This has by far been the biggest waste of money my family has spent on housing. They ruined our experience in Mount Juliet. It could have been so great. But when you can’t even use the water from the sink because they have outages every few weeks? That’s absolutely ridiculous. So many things have broken and we haven’t even been here but a few months. I can’t stand this place!

Not sure how this “community” has a high rating. Must be bribing people to leave good reviews because reading them is unlike anything close to our experience. I don’t want to harp too much but if you decide to move to LC Mt Juliet expect these few things :

1) surprise bills, unexpected charges, no rule enforcement throughout the neighborhood. Forced policies, “billing fees”

2) dangerous conditions for your family and yourself. Swat team with semi automatics has unfortunately not happened once... but twice. And dare ask about what’s going on and you’ll be rudely met with their response of “don’t worry about it”. Don’t worry about a ram knocking down my neighbors door when I have a 1 month year old?

3) combining #2 with the fact that we have a newborn and they have a valet trash forced fee upon your unit. ($25 a month). If you don’t have your trash bin in by 9 am the next day the front office women will come by on their golf kart and take your bin. Every single day. $25 a pop in order to get your trash bin back.

4) fridge filter goes bad so you file a maintenance request. Maintenance guy doesn’t say a peep about a cost. They hit you with a surprise fee and then have the audacity to try and charge a late fee on that cost. No one had ever said anything.

5) the goat restaurant is garbage and only has a decent bar but good luck getting any prompt service there.

Not gong to rant all day but if I could give this “community” 0 stars I would. If you’re moving here from out of state don’t make the same mistake my
Family did and get stuck in the epitome of where you never want to take your loved ones.

LC is overpriced to begin with. Prepare to be outrageously billed when you move out. They will find whatever excuse they can to have to replace the floors and then stick you with the bill. Avoid at all costs!
