Beware!!
The worst property I’ve ever lived in. The property is not not maintained and has too many problems to list. If I had to list one. It’d be the office lady, Marilee, is never in the office to assist with the many issues that arise. I have a hard time understanding how they pay someone that is never in the office to do her job?

Honest Review
The walls are thin, so you can hear and smell what comes from your neighbor's apartment. There is a clause in the lease that the property company doesn't have to do anything about this. It is loud in the parking lot at night. The streets around the complex are loud with cars passing by in the middle of the night revving engines and playing loud music. There are athletic fields near that are sometimes loud and make it hard to drive in a crowded area. There is no maintenance dedicated to the... property, so some things weren't fixed. My door was left open one day when they were fixing something and then unlocked the next day. There is an exercise room, with one treadmill that didn't work for a long time. There is a pool, but in the time I lived there it was closed and dirty more than it was open. There is a laundry room, but the few times I've been there, it looked unkept and dirty. The gate sometimes doesn't work. If you have someone come over, they have to get out of the car and press the code and then run back to the car when the gate opens. They charge for trash, but it's not trash pickup. Literally just paying for the dumpsters. Saw random dog poop in the parking lot. For about 2 years the water wouldn't get hot, and I was told there is 1 hot water heater for the whole complex. Someone took all the gutters down, but no one put them back. When it rains, the rain goes everywhere including under my front door. I had waterbugs and cockroaches that wouldn't go away no matter how clean my apartment was or pest control came out. There was at least 1 burglary and about 4 burglaries of the mailbox. When I moved out I was charged for 2 months of water bills that were taken out of my deposit, even though I left that place spotless so the next person wouldn't have to move into a dirty apartment like I did. I was charged a $50 admin fee before the fee was typical for most complexes. I was told it was part of the deposit, but was told that it wasn't when I moved out. They charge a fee to pay your rent by debit/credit card. The air conditioners are old. Mine sounded like a train every time it went off or on and while it was on. Then something was falling from the air vent in the bathroom, and it wasn't fixed. The parking lot is tight where you pull your car out to drive to the exit, so sometimes driving out is weird and some people randomly speed through the lot. Someone hit my parked car and drove off.

Great Little Community
I've been living at Wimbledon Court for about three years. I'm only moving out in September because I needed a location within walking distance of the college I'm attending. In that three years, my rent has only gone up a total of about $20/month, and my current rates are still extremely fair and affordable. After this point, I'll be dividing my review into several categories:
Management & Maintenance: Overall, I've been extremely happy with management and maintenance here. Marilee, the current... property manager, has always been more than helpful for me. Don, our maintenance guy, is the best! He's always prompt and knows his stuff.
Amenities: The property has a small pool, a small gym, laundry facilities, small green spaces around the property, free (assigned) covered parking, and gated access into the community. Most of the amenities are very modest, but sufficient for most people. Nothing impressive, but nothing lacking or disappointing either.
Utilities & Fees: I had difficulty finding information on utilities for many of the apartments I looked at before moving here, so I'm making a dedicated section here. The apartment currently covers all utilities except: electric, cable (internet), and rental insurance. My electric runs me anywhere from $30-$90/mo in my 1br/1ba unit, depending on season (my girlfriend LOVES her A/C). My internet runs me about $55/mo after taxes (30m down/5m up). Renter's insurance is roughly $15/mo. There is no fee for the covered parking, and there are plenty of guest parking spaces scattered throughout the property. The only fees that I saw as unreasonable were the $400 non-refundable pet deposits (per pet, regardless of size/cat/dog). However, this complex doesn't charge pet rent.
Location: The location here simply can't be beat! You're within walking distance to the grocery store, several different restaurants, fast food, and the sports complex with large sports fields. Within a couple minutes' driving distance is the Parks Mall (including the movie theater), many more restaurants, access to Interstate 20, several more grocery stores, gas stations, a couple nice parks, and Walmart. As far as proximity to Cooper St., I've never had any problems with road noise.
Safety: In my three years of residency here, I've never seen any crime. No car break-ins, thefts, burglary, etc. This community is really peaceful and quiet!
I strongly urge you consider this property if a unit is available! GREAT place to live!
