Honestly the worst apartment complex I've ever lived (and I've lived in some bad complexes). Management is HORRIFFIC. They don't answer the phones, don't respond when you email them, ignore maintenance requests. Anytime you walk in there you get an attitude from the people working.

HUGE HUGE HUGE pest issue. Were told that pest control will come weekly- that doesn't happen. It was so bad we couldn't walk into a room without scanning for bugs first.

The gate is never closed so people just... walk in and out of the complex all the time. Cars are constantly getting broken into, sketchy people walking around the complex. Even after saying something to management they did NOTHING to help solve the issue.

There's never any parking- and don't even try to come or have guests come past 7pm. People use the very few visitor spots as spots for their second/third/extra cars that don't work and are up on jacks. Theres a few cars that haven't moved a single time in the months of living there.

The actual maintenance man is great- he just obviously is tied down due to HORRIBLE management and staff in the office.

The property manager is unprofessional, the maintenance staff does not actually know how to fix stuff. They just do short cuts so they have to keep coming back. There is a lot of illegal activity on the property, but the property manager is oblivious even though her and a maintenance man live in the complex. The breaker boxes are outside the doors where anyone can access them. The mailboxes are broken and anyone can access them. They pay for security that is never on the property. Moved here from New York, and I'm very pleased with this place. The management is great and super friendly. Always there to respond to any needs I have, maintenance resolves all your requests within 1-2 days max. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they are to respond. The apartments are clean, there's no issues with bugs, or mice. Utilities work well, people in the complex are friendly and easy going.

Overall I'm very pleased with this place and centralized to Austin. It's less than 10... minutes from Downtown, 10 minutes from the airport, and 7 minutes from South Congress. Everything in this location is very accessible.

Daniela the property manager is a very kind lady so that's good. But the property is a different situation :( I do not recommend but this complex, if push comes to shove and it's temporary it's fine.

Ive been living here at Altura Avesta for the past 4 yrs and i love it the staff is great and also the mainteance workers when something has to be done in the apartment like mainteance or anything else its done the swimming pool is always maintane always cleaned great BBQ area to have a cook out i have great neigbors next to me and upstairs overall i love living here from my 20 yrs living in Austin coming in 2000 from all the apartments i lived at this is the best placed that i lived at.
