Worst Experience
My experience at MAA Quarry Oaks was extremely disappointing.
When I moved in, leasing agent Brendan told me I would be added as an occupant. I later discovered I had been added as a leaseholder, which carries significant legal and financial responsibilities. When I questioned this, I received inconsistent explanations instead of a clear answer.
During my stay, I repeatedly reported concerns about unauthorised individuals staying in the apartment and safety issues after my roommate shared the... apartment passcode without my knowledge. These issues made me uncomfortable living there. Despite raising these concerns multiple times over more than a month, I never received a clear explanation of whether any investigation or action had been taken. Near the end of the process, when I asked in person I was told I needed to identify specific individuals before any action could be considered, something I had not previously been asked to do despite my earlier complaints and multiple followups.
The lease removal process was equally frustrating. Daniel confirmed in writing that I could pay the $350 lease modification fee and be removed from the lease without my roommate signature. I was later told by another leasing representative Munira said that the email was "null and void." Receiving conflicting instructions from different staff members created unnecessary stress and confusion.
Communication throughout the process was poor. Emails often went unanswered, and I had to repeatedly follow up just to receive updates. Instead of feeling supported, I felt I was dealing with conflicting guidance and inconsistent handling of my concerns.
I ultimately paid the fee simply to end my involvement because I no longer had confidence in how my case was being handled.
If you're considering living here, carefully review every lease document before signing, insist on written confirmation for anything you are told, and keep records of all communications. I also recommend researching residents' experiences through multiple sources like Reddit complains before making a decision.
