DO NOT RENT
Management is awful. Lower your expectations to that of a DMV experience and you will still be disappointed.
The photos online are a gross misrepresentation of reality.
Ask management if you can speak with current residents BEFORE signing the lease. There answer will tell you everything you need to know.
They need new management from top to bottom. The place actually has potential. Its Alyssa and Brianna (Property manager and assistant respectively)

NEVER LIVE HERE
extremely terrible management with no professionalism whatsoever!!! they barge into the apartment with no notice, never respond to inquiries, leave the apartment and facilities dirty, never at office when going to pick up a package, never fixes the elevators, AND never got my security deposit back when they told me they would ?¨

Good location and furnishings, TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT
They have changed management teams several times before I stayed there, and yet nothing has changed. San Miguel Management is the most incompetent management team I've ever dealt with, and these are basically overpriced apartments in a great location. Poor management, constantly needed maintenance because the problems in my unit were never permanently fixed, and pretty dirty constantly. I was supposed to receive my security deposit check, and for months after trying to chase them down about it... (and being vehemently ignored or dismissed!), it was fraudulently cashed. The only redeeming quality is that they're furnished and in a good location, but you can find that elsewhere for much less stress and frustration.

Location issue, management problems
The G may seem nice with new finishes and a pristine exterior, but is truly poorly developed. I've seen cracks in the ceilings and near those pretty granite countertops that show probable foundation issues. If you pay attention you'll find the new building, finished as of September 2014, was rushed to be finished in many areas. The elevators have broken down for days at a time, so not the most ADA friendly building. Management has changed over while I have lived here the past year and I've not... noticed much improvement. They claim to be open during a vast amount of the day but then notify day of, on a recurring basis, that they'll be closed for the entirety of the afternoon. If you need your mail or packages swiftly I recommend looking elsewhere.
The location is not great in any way. As a somewhat atypical location for UT students being south of MLK, the local police do not pay as much attention to the area and safety, especially at night, becomes a concern. Due to a serious presence of homeless persons dwelling near the Guadalupe entrance, most residents have switched to using the back door, which opens up to a potentially equally unsafe alley. Luckily if your room faces guad you'll be able to hear the noises of drunkards at the bar only a few doors down or any time someone is being heckled across the way.
Rooms are small, but definitely better than the dorms size wise and private enough, especially with the bathrooms being linked to each persons bedroom.
