Amenities are really good, and so is the location. Free coffee, pool, gym (with a barbell!), free garage parking, etc. Actually walkable to restaurants/shopping.

I would like to share several concerns, comments, and suggestions regarding the community and resident experience.

My car was broken into, and I felt like there was very little concern or urgency shown regarding the situation. I also noticed that the gate was broken at the time, which raises concerns about overall security within the community.

I no longer wish to communicate with Ryan, as he was extremely rude to me on two separate occasions regarding an urgent maintenance issue. The matter...
was reported to higher management, and to this day, I still have not received an apology. Because of these interactions, I now feel like I have to contact higher management directly whenever I have an issue in order to avoid further negative encounters, and I do not believe residents should have to feel that way in order to receive assistance.

There also needs to be improved lighting throughout the community after dark. Some areas feel poorly lit at night, which adds to safety concerns. I have also noticed a lot of random individuals and stray animals walking around the complex. Having a courtesy officer or security patrol regularly monitor the community during late-night hours would be very beneficial and help residents feel safer.

The garage remotes are an additional charge and are not provided at move-in. This creates inconvenience in situations where a resident’s phone is not working or dead. Additionally, the garage remote button does not always properly open the gate.

Another security concern is that some of the doors unlock simply by waving a hand in front of the reader, which does not feel safe or secure for residents.

Package management is also an issue. Packages are often left throughout the community when carriers cannot access the building. I believe implementing a service like Fetch Package would be extremely beneficial and much more convenient for residents.

Cell service in the lobby area and on the first floor of the garage is very poor. Because of this, I often have to press the garage gate button before entering the garage area to avoid connection issues.

The Alta Open App with Tree is also very restricted. It would be helpful if residents could control features such as their thermostat while away from home and provide temporary guest access to the community for overnight guests or visitors when residents are at work or unavailable.

Additionally, the landscaping around the property feels very dull, and there is very little grass throughout the

We sincerely appreciate hearing from our residents, as it allows us the opportunity to address concerns and continue improving the community experience. We are truly sorry to hear about the... incident involving your vehicle. We understand how upsetting and violating that experience can feel. Once your email and evidence link were received, management responded the same day and uploaded approximately four hours of camera footage from our gate cameras directly to the detective for review and investigation assistance. While crime unfortunately can happen anywhere regardless of preventative measures in place, we do take resident concerns and community security very seriously. In addition, Tree Apartments does have a courtesy officer who is employed through Austin Police Department and patrols the community nightly at random times throughout the evening and early morning hours. We also continue evaluating lighting, access control, and additional security enhancements throughout the property. We are disappointed to hear about your interactions with our team and apologize if you felt unheard or unsupported during your experience. Our goal is always to provide professional and respectful customer service, especially during urgent situations, and we appreciate this feedback being brought to our attention. Regarding the community technology and access systems, the Alta/Open app is intentionally limited to registered residents for both security purposes and because the platform operates on a per-user licensing structure. The app’s proximity-unlock feature only functions when location and permission settings are enabled on a resident’s phone. If a resident is uncomfortable with this feature, those permissions can be adjusted directly within their phone settings. For package delivery concerns, all major carriers are provided access instructions, including Amazon Locker access and one-click entry to designated building doors. Unfortunately, management does not control how individual carriers choose to complete deliveries once access has been provided. Delivery issues ultimately must be addressed directly with the carrier provider. Your Honeywell thermostat does include remote capabilities, and instructions for setup were included in the Welcome Home folder provided at move-in, along with information regarding the water heater timer reset instructions. We would also be happy to provide another copy if needed. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding landscaping, pressure washing, clubhouse reservations, and additional technology enhancements. Resident feedback like yours helps us evaluate future improvements and community priorities moving forward. Thank you again for your feedback and for sharing your concerns with us.

It’s been a pleasure living here! Wonderful area, prompt staff (office and maintenance), has all of the amenities you need, and all at a fair price. Therefore, I ended up resigning my lease !

So I’ve lived here about a week now and I can say that the staff has been very friendly so far. specifically Ryan. Application process and move in was pretty easy. Amenities are nice and it’s an awesome location. Reasons why I can’t give 5 stars:

- staff are unresponsive to emails. But helpful over the phone or in person

- people leave garbage outside of the garage shoot room. I thought the door was locked or something and they didn’t have access. However I got in and used the garbage shoot...
just fine. Laziness I suppose.

- You need an app to gain access to the parking garage and the building. Which is great and makes the place seem pretty secure. However, if you need to run to your car real quick and forget your phone in the house you WILL be locked out. You need your phone on you at all times and hopefully it doesn’t die before you get home. This is a bit of a hassle.

Otherwise, so far nothing major to dislike. My partner and I are enjoying it here.

We also truly appreciate the constructive feedback. This time of year tends to be one of our busiest leasing seasons, and while we always strive to respond quickly, we do prioritize residents who are in the office or on the phone first. That said, we absolutely want to maintain the strong communication our team is known for. We recently welcomed a new leasing agent to the team, and we’re confident this will help us get back to the level of responsiveness our residents expect and deserve.
Regarding the trash room, thank you for bringing that up. The chute rooms are accessible to residents, but items left outside of them are usually due to improper disposal rather than access issues. We continue to remind residents of proper trash etiquette and appreciate everyone helping keep the community clean.
As for the mobile access system, we understand how it can be inconvenient if your phone isn’t with you. The system is designed to enhance building security, but we always encourage residents to stop by the office if they’d like to discuss additional access options or have any questions about how it works.
