Aulden at The Highlands

I have not lived here, but after a recent tour I can definitely say I will never choose to live here.
First off, don't believe the photos they post on Zillow, Apartment.com, or whatever apartment app you found this place on. You will be bamboozled. When we first drove by the complex with it's boarded up windows, I was so dumbfounded and laughed so hard I almost pissed myself. Literally.
But for fun and maybe a little hope, we decided to still go in for the tour. From the quick tour, there... were trash containers overflowing. Fake wooden floors stained from a bad paint job. Uncovered and exposed wires from cable boxes that would give a firefighter a migraine. Uneven foundation bad enough to send your grandmother to the hospital. Potholes deep enough that your go-to mechanic will become your best-man or woman. Stairs creaky enough to make you realize you haven't completed your will. And at one point a random man standing on the sidewalk just watching you.
But I'll try to end this on a positive note now and say that our tour guide/ leasing agent showed us multiple different floor plans, answered all the questions we had, and overall had great customer service. So there's that. Read More

I honestly don't know how many of my neighbors I've heard get shot after living here for three years. There are frequent issues with garbage around the complex and with dumpsters overflowing. An unhoused person defecated outside of my apartment several months ago, and there is still a stain from this that the apartments have not attempted to clean.

Flooded apartment due to office neglections

I had a flood 5/19/22 due to water heater worn and tear....been communicating with the managers as well as other associates...they suppose to been contacting corp office to let me know what they going to do for me since i was very inconvienced and damages were may to my items still no answer and its now 6/1/22...these property is very lazy i been here 4 years and this is what i get...they also dont like to keep up with the property or... maintenance...i will not be renewing my lease again so is anyone want t live here run run run.....all they worry about is rent...plus too many possums because neighbors dont care about their trash.......and all the office do is screen calls every time you call them and been under like 5 different management I WONDER WHY!!!!!! I love my place its peace and quiet I been here 3 years and like it

My husband and I have lived here for 2 years and I can honestly say that things have definitely changed for the better. My husband and I had planned to leave but things have gotten better and we don’t plan to go anywhere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Maintenance always responds and is very adamant about fixing any issues we may have. We’ve never had any roach problems until about a month ago and it was only 3 or 4 roaches. We contacted the office and pest control was out the next day... and we have not had another pest control problem. I can see the changes they are making and I love it. They’ve even added property security, recovered and painted the parking lot and the buildings, easy bill pay online, resurfaced the pools, and looks like they are fixing the gates.
