Love it here!

Waited to write this review after I’d been living here for some time so I could give a more accurate rating and now that it’s been two months since I moved in, I can wholeheartedly say I love it here.

Location- Fantastic. Close to everything you may need and being able to walk out of your apartment on the weekends to buy produce or knick knacks at the Farmers Market is a sweet perk.

Security- Top notch. Secured access to parking garage, entry doors, even floor levels. My car got keyed twice… at my previous apartment and I have to say that the thought of that happening here doesn’t even cross my mind.

Cleanliness- Impeccable. I *frequently* see the cleaning staff in the building sweeping or mopping the floors and if a tenant leaves trash somewhere, it doesn’t take long for it to be picked up.
To give you guys an example, about a week ago a tenant’s dog went to the bathroom in the area exiting the elevator on my floor and with it being a weekend, I had resigned myself to the idea that it would be sitting there until at least Monday. Wrong. Left the apartment 2 hours later to go grocery shopping and the mess had already been taken care of. And I know it wasn’t the tenant that cleaned it up because housekeeping cart was still in the area. I was pleasantly shocked by the quickness with which the issue was taken care of.

And finally, the staff. Every single person staffed here that I’ve encountered has been a friendly face. Axam was my leasing agent at the beginning and he was incredibly communicative throughout the process.
Don’t plan on moving anytime soon, I highly recommend this complex.

Taylor Lofts is awesome!

Really great place to live!! I moved in to Taylor Lofts recently. I am new to the city, and I feel so much at home. The people who work at the complex are incredibly welcoming and quick to respond to any questions I have. The area feels incredibly safe and has a really fun atmosphere -- you are literally in the middle of the Farmer's Market. The apartment I have feels clean and new and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this place to a lot of people and am beyond happy with my… decision to move here.

Move in experience -- quick, easy, and no problems
Employee interactions -- very positive and respectful
Rating of apartment unit -- A+

BEWARE - they don't care about you as a renter

WARNING to anyone looking at Taylor Lofts: Residents come 2nd. 2nd to business profits, 2nd to corporate greed, 2nd to whatever is easiest and most convenient for management.

ENDLESS CONSTRUCTION NOISE in Taylor Lofts building from 7am to 7pm, Mon-Sat.

BEFORE MOVING IN: ask about construction noise and what's being planned. They won't tell you before you move in. There's currently construction happening in the retail spaces on the first floor, and it absolutely will disrupt your day to day… life. I'm talking jackhammers, hammer drills, and endless noise that will make it impossible to take calls from home.

During a time when most of us as working from home because our office buildings are closed, they chose to move forward with construction on this retail space, with zero warning or remedy available to residents. It's now affecting our livelihood, and despite repeated attempts to contact management and the owners (Spectrum Prop, Brian Bergersen), they won't address the issue or even offer a single "you're right, this situation sucks and we're sorry for the noise."

They rely on the fact that you sign a "mixed use addendum" to your lease, that states that they can make noise 24/7 with no legal recourse. Most of it is tailored to the fact that it's the farmer's market, so of course there will be some noise. But hidden in the agreement is the fact that they can make construction noise 24/7 and you can't do anything about it.

It has now affected our livelihoods, and I'm facing disciplinary action at work because I can't attend the meetings I need to and present the materials, since no one would be able to hear me over the background noise. Taylor Lofts, simply put, does not care about you, because first and foremost they're concerned about the next business deal. If I had known that this construction was going to be happening prior to moving in, I certainly would not have chosen to live here.

Look up Spectrum Prop, and be sure not to support any community they own.

Great Spot in the heart of Downtown

Excellent location close to both Deep Ellum, Main Street and Pearl and a quick jump onto i30/35E/75 to get around to the Metroplex. Nextdoor to delicious restaurants in the Market and Weekend Farmers Market for fresh and local produce direct from the farmers themselves. Only downsides are due to the usual city living issues.
